Just wanted to say that the picture above is not mine. I'm not sure who drew it, but it was not me. And really quick, (Y/N) means your name, and (Y/EC) means your eye color. Also, you have black hair. Sorry if you don't have black hair, but I had to make it that color for the story. Hope you enjoy the story!!

It had been a whole week since Laughing Jack had entered Sammy's life. They had played tons of games, including tag, hide and seek, various board games, and many more. Sammy loved Jack. He was the first ray of sunlight that had shined in his life in a very long time. Sammy was the happiest now than he had ever been.

Laughing Jack was also having fun. When he had first arrived at Sammy's house, Jack thought he would gain Sammy's trust and kill him like he had done so many times before to many different children, but Jack liked Sammy. Sammy hadn't abandoned Jack while he played with his other friends. Jack knew it would have to happen eventually, it did with all the children, but he would keep Sammy around until that happened.

It was Saturday morning, and Sammy had just gotten out of bed. As soon as he was dressed and had eaten, Sammy ran back to his room to see Jack lying on his bed.

"Hi, Jack!" Sammy exclaimed, bouncing over to Jack.

"Hey, kiddo! Want some candy?" Jack offered, holding out the multicolored treats for Sammy to take. Sammy smiled and accepted the sweets.

"Thanks, Jack!" Sammy said, his voice barely recognizable through the candy he was shoveling into his mouth. Jack chuckled and ruffled the boy's hair.

"No problem. You want to go outside and play hide and seek?"

"Yeah! I love that game!" Sammy said, his joy evident in the way he jumped up and down. Sammy grabbed Jack's clawed hand and led him down the stairs. As they ran through the hallway to the front door, Jack caught a glimpse of a silhouette lying on the couch.

"Sammy, who's that?" Jack asked, pulling Sammy to the doorway which led into the living room. Confused, Sammy peeked around the corner. His whole face lit up in excitement.

"(Y/N)!" Sammy shouted, releasing Jack's hand and running toward the girl. Hearing Sammy, the girl jerked her head toward the stampeding boy. Sammy lunged himself on the couch and into the girl's awaiting arms.

"Sammy! I've missed you. I've been waiting here for you to get up," the girl said, smiling and clutching Sammy to her chest.

"I've missed you too, (Y/N)! I'm sorry it took me so long, but I forgot that you were coming out today," the young boy said sheepishly, looking toward the floor.

"Hey, it's ok. At least you're here now," (Y/N) said, tilting the boy's face toward her own and smiling, causing his face to brighten back up. He grabbed her hand and led her to the hall.

"(Y/N), I want you to meet my new friend, Laughing Jack," Sammy announced as they stood in the hallway. (Y/N) looked around, but saw nobody there. Guessing that it was an imaginary friend, (Y/N) smiled and waved to the air.

"Laughing Jack, this is (Y/N). She's my sister," Sammy said to Jack.

Jack looked down at the strange girl. She had long black hair that hang down to her hips. She had deep, dark (Y/EC) eyes. Her lips were a dark, blood red color. She was wearing a black (favorite rock band) t-shirt and black bell-bottom jeans. Her clothes stood out perfectly against her inhumanly pale skin tone. Jack looked down at her skeptically.

"Sammy, can I talk to you in private for a moment?" Jack asked, pulling on Sammy's arm. Jack knew (Y/N) couldn't see him, but he didn't want to take a chance that Sammy would say something that Jack didn't want (Y/N) to hear.

"Sure! (Y/N), Jack wants to tell me something in private. I'll be right back!"

"Ok, Sammy. I'll go get my umbrella so we can of outside." With that, the strange girl disappeared into the darkness of a room down the hall. Sammy then turned back to Jack.

"I didn't know you had a sister, Sammy. Why haven't I seen her around?" Jack asked.

"She has been in her room the past week," Sammy said.

"Why?" Jack asked. Sammy looked to the ground and scuffled around.

"If I tell you, do you promise to keep it a secret?" Sammy asked, looking up to Jack in an unsure manure.

"Of course, Sammy. You can trust me."

"Ok. Well, first of all, (Y/N) was adopted when she was a baby. When she was little, my parents had to keep her out of the sunlight, or else she burned horribly. When they took her to the doctor, he said there was nothing he could do for her. So they kept her indoors. When she turned ten, things stared to change. She couldn't be around people for an entire week. I'm not sure why, my parents never told me. All I know is that one week out of every month, (Y/N) has to lock herself in her room. She's eighteen now, so she told me that she's used to it, but I still feel bad for her. I guess she keeps food in her room since I never see her eat anything at dinner."

"Does anyone ever call your sister...strange?" Jack asked, trying to process all of this new information.

"Yes. Many people do. Because of her condition, she can't go to school, but whenever my parent's friends come over, they call her a freak. Even my parents do. They are mean to her. They are worse to her than they are to me. I don't think (Y/N)'s weird, though. She's the best sister in the world. She takes care of me and loves me. I can always go to her if my parents are being mean. She comforts me. I love her, and I don't care what anyone else says."

"You said that she doesn't eat with you. Why?"

"I'm not sure. She's told me that she doesn't like eating with our parents, so she eats alone. Like I said, she probably has food in her room. I've never been in her room, so I'm not sure, but I bet I'm right."

"Why have you never gone into her room before?"

"She doesn't let anyone go into her room. She says that it's too messy. I usually just knock on her door, and we go into my room. She always, except for that one week out of the month, comes into my room, tucks me in at night, and reads me a bedtime story. She's actually more of mother to me than my real one."

Just as Jack was about to ask Sammy another question, (Y/N) walked in, carrying a large black umbrella.

"Are you ready to go, Sammy?" (Y/N) asked, taking hold of the young boy's hand.

"Yeah! Jack, are you coming?" Sammy asked, turning back to look at Jack as he and (Y/N) walked to the front door.

"Sure, Sammy," Jack called to the boy, quickly walking over to the pair. Even though she couldn't see him, Jack still regarded (Y/N) carefully. He couldn't figure out what it was about this girl, but she gave him a strange feeling. When Sammy called to him again as they opened the door, Jack shook his head and followed them outside.
