Tate's View; 3 weeks later...

I hear footsteps and I slowly open my eyes. I see Y/n doing jumping jacks and I furrow my eyebrows.

"What are you doing?" I ask, yawning.

"I feel 50 years younger." Y/n says, jogging around the room.

"Maybe stop before you fall and start feeling 150 years older." I say.

"I feel so alive and energetic." Y/n says.

"Is it safe to say the procedure worked?" I ask.

"Oh, yeah." Y/n says.

"That's great, baby." I say.

"I know." Y/n says, stretching.

"Could you stop and come kiss me?" I ask.

Y/n walks over and leans down to kiss me. There's a knock on the door and Dr Davis comes in.

"Looks like you're up and moving. How do you feel?" Dr Davis says.

"I feel fantabulous." Y/n says.

Dr Davis laughs and she smiles.

"So today, we're gonna run some tests on you and if everything comes back normal, we'll discharge you." Dr Davis says.

Y/n nods and he leaves.

"Looks like everything worked out in your favor." I say.

"I'm telling you, I've never felt so alive before. Like, I wanna run a marathon just to do it. I wanna climb Mount Everest just to do it. I feel like I can do anything." Y/n says.

"That's good, baby, I'm really happy for you." I say.

"It's all thanks to you. I don't know what I'd do without you." She says.

I smile and she kisses me.

"Oh my god." Y/n says as we walk outside.

"What?" I ask.

"It's so beautiful. The sun, the birds, the grass, the trees." Y/n says.

"I forgot you haven't been outside in like 3 months." I say.

Y/n wanders away and I follow her.

"Where are you going?" I ask.

"I just wanna go sit in the park for a few minutes." Y/n says.

"Okay." I say.

We walk to the park and sit on a bench.

"Ah, finally some air that doesn't smell like sanitizer." Y/n says.

I laugh and she smiles.

"We need to have a serious conversation." I say.

"Okay." Y/n says.

"You are not allowed back into Canada for 3 years and I am not a US citizen." I say.

"Okay? So?" She asks.

"We can't be together because I'm only allowed in the US for small periods of time." I say.

"The times have obviously changed but can't you just get a Green Card?" She asks.

"We have to be married for that, then I get citizenship after 5 years." I say.

"So what's the problem? Let's get married." She says.

"What?" I ask.

"We've only been together for 5 months but I fall more and more in love with you every day. Not to mention that you stick by me during this entire thing." She says.
