"Uh... Thanks?" Fuck, why do I feel my heart fluttering? I see him pull out his phone and handed it to me.

"Here! Let's exchange numbers" he smiled at me as he waited for me to give him my phone.

I grabbed my phone from my pocket and gave it to him as I took his phone.

Just like that we exchanged numbers and said our goodbyes going our separate ways.

On my home I couldn't stop thinking on how the hell I just got his number without me asking.

Finally... Home.

As I walk into the dark house not hearing anyone talk besides the tv as it gleaned light in the living room

And there she was... my mother passed out on the couch with beer bottles on the floor and coffee table.

It's always like this... and every time I never feel anything towards it. Fucked I know, but the world is fucked.

I grab the blanket that was laying on the top of the couch and covered her with it letting out a small sigh.

Once I got to my room I dropped my bag on the ground near my door as I went over to my bed flopping on it.

Oh how much I missed laying on my comfortable bed... I rolled over onto my back looking at the ceiling just drained from everything.

"Can this nightmare end?" I said under my breath putting my arm over my face closing my eyes.

Ever since that day when he left the apartment it didn't get better for me.. I wonder if he's doing better than I am right now...

Wherever he is.

A light shining down on my face causing me to open my eyes. Seeing those soft features of a face looking down at me with the soft smile I love...

"You okay starlight?"

I froze... It was Elias.. Laying in his arms while he looks down at me with his worried look.

That pet name... Starlight... It was a pet name only he called me as he told me why that pet name he said; "Because you are a star and the light to the room so starlight."

I looked at him with tired eyes.
