"Baby? Are you going to get up?' Jisoo asked softly as she brushed her fingertips along your arm. "Your alarm went off ten minutes ago. You're going to be late if you don't get up soon."

"I know. I'm not asleep." You mumbled before sitting up and rubbing your temples. "I don't feel good."

"You don't?" Jisoo frowned. "What's the matter?"

"My head is spinning and I feel nauseous." You said before running your fingers through your messy hair.

Jisoo gently placed her hand on your forehead before nodding.

"You feel warm but not quite feverish. You could soon though. You're probably coming down with something. Why don't you call off of work and then you can go back to sleep." She suggested.

"I can't. Everyone's counting on me. I have to go in."

"You don't, though. You need to rest. Baby, everyone gets sick sometimes. If you end up feeling worse while you're at work-"

"Then I'll call you and come home." You interrupted. "But, Jisoo, I have to try."

She sighed because she knew she wasn't going to be able to convince you otherwise.

"Okay, fine. I won't argue with you about this on one condition - you let me drive you."

"That's fine with me." You said and she kissed your forehead softly before getting up.

You did the same a moment later and, slowly, you got dressed and brushed your hair and teeth before heading downstairs.

You felt so weak and so exhausted and all you wanted was to curl up in bed and go back to sleep.

But you told yourself that you had to push through.

So you pulled yourself together and headed out the door a moment later with Jisoo.

"Promise me that if you end up needing to come, you won't hesitate to call me. I know you're not feeling well at all and I'm worried about you. Please, my love." She pleaded as she pulled up to the doors of your workplace.

"I promise." You said before kissing her cheek and getting out of the car.

Jisoo watched with worried eyes as you headed inside and as she drove back home, she had a feeling that it wouldn't be very long until she came back to pick you up.

Something just wasn't right and she knew it.

But she didn't want to argue with you so she decided to just wait and see what happened.

While she drove home, you went inside and prepared for the day ahead.

"I have a lot for you to do today." Your boss said as she came over to you. "I hope you're prepared, it's going to be a busy day."

She set some stuff down in front of you and your coworker came over to you, letting out a heavy sigh.

"Poor you." She said. "Are you doing okay today?"

"No." You said before groaning. "I feel terrible."

"You look like you feel terrible." She said. "Why don't you just head home?"

"I can't." You sighed before gripping the edges of the table with a tight grip.

"You should." She said.

You hung your head and squeezed your eyes shut.

"Y/N?"

"I feel sick." You spoke as the nausea began to become intense.
