Months had passed since Tyler's confession. Josh had moved in with Tyler, they continued to write and make music, and everything was perfect. To them, at least, it was as close to perfect as their lives could get. The calm life they lived was occasionally interrupted by fans, interviews, paparazzi, etc. But, they knew they could get through it together. They always got through it together. Winter was falling on Columbus, Ohio, and the pair could not have been more excited for the coming season. The soft, white flakes that dusted the ground clumped together to form soft blankets of snow across yards, sidewalks and streets. The formerly blue sky was now a soft heather grey, and the sun had bid her farewell until spring.
Josh yawned, stretching and checking his watch. It was 11am, not an unusual time to wake up, but certainly early for him. He had this odd anxious feeling, one that didn't come often and he knew he needed to blow off some steam. With the weather, he figured it would help get rid of whatever was going on inside of him. His heart rate was higher than normal and he felt mildly suffocated. Regardless, he was calm towards Tyler. He nudged Tyler awake, and as the other stirred, Josh pressed a soft kiss to his temple. "Good morning, darling.." Josh whispered, watching Tyler sit up "This.. Might sound odd but uh.. Can we go outside, in the snow?" Tyler grinned and nodded, "Of course we can." The two had gotten dressed and slipped on their shoes, exiting their house to the snowy wonderland that awaited them. As soon as they stepped outside, a chill washed over them. Their faces immediately dusting with pinks and orange hues, due to the cold. Josh took a deep breath, inhaling the icy air and Tyler looked over in a concerned manner, "Josh, what's goin' on?" He offered, holding Josh's arms. "Not much just, I woke up with this weird anxious feeling, y'know? I'm trying to get my mind off of it." Tyler nodded, brushing a soft kiss to Josh's cheek "I'm here, okay? It'll be alright. Now, let's get down to business with this snow." He smirked, picking up a handful of snow. Josh followed suit, making a snowball.
Although they were outside, Josh's anxiety didn't seem to go away. It never really did, but there were distractions. For some reason, this wasn't working. He tried to hide his panicky glances, and the way his hands shook, but it was no use. Tyler noticed eventually. He put his snowball down and wiped his hands off, looking at Josh "Hey.. It's all okay.." He placed a gentle hand over Josh's heart, "Your hearts only racing like this because it's cold out, I promise." Josh nods, leaning into Tyler's touch, "Can we go inside..?" He asks, looking up at Tyler. That look, oh how Tyler loved the look Josh gave him. Tyler nodded, taking Josh's hand. As they went inside, they kicked off their shoes and took off their winter coats. The warmth of the house spreading over them like the sun would've, had it been Summer. Tyler settled on the couch, holding his arms out for Josh who obliged. He held onto Josh, nuzzling into his mop of brightly colored hair. Josh let out a content sigh, "Thank you, Ty." He muttered, holding onto Tyler, "For what, hun?" "Just.. putting up with me and my bullshit I guess." Josh shrugged. Tyler sat up, cupping Josh's face "Josh." He said, taking on a serious tone, "It isn't bullshit. You can't control it, and I promise you, I'm here to help and support you." Josh leaned into Tyler's touch, nodding "I know.. But I still need to thank you." "Oh Josh, you thank me by sticking around and being mine. You know that." Tyler pressed a soft kiss to Josh's lips. Josh returned the gesture, holding onto Tyler's shoulders. The two pulled away, both smiling. "I love you." they said in unison. Grins spread across both of their faces, both becoming giggling and laughing messes.
As the snow continued to fall outside, the warmth of the house and their love kept them safe.
