(y/n pov)
I walked the empty sidewalk to school. I had my headphones on so I wouldn't be able to hear if someone was talking to me or not. It was fall, which means Halloween was coming up. How I love Halloween. It's my favorite time of year. All over the sidewalk were different kinds of leaves. Every step i took there was a crunch from the leaves.
I had gotten to school and it was loud as usual. I don't get how kids can be so hyper in the morning.
As I was walking to my locker, I had noticed a bunch of missing posters all around the walls. Tracy Rachel's and Jenny McAdams had both gone missing the same night. People say that their parents hated them so they killed them. Really, most people didn't like them. I know people who are honestly happy that they're gone.
I arrived at my locker and just as I was about to open it, a group of boys roamed the halls and protested about the killings. One boy had a mannequin dressed in a Ghostface costume, tied up. Everyone watched as they protested down the hall. I turned around and got out my stuff for my classes.
Classes were okay today. It was finally lunch and I was starving. As I walked into the lunch room I saw my friends motioning me over. I walked over to them and sat down with them. Donna, Finney, Robin, Gwen, and Griffin were there. Bruce didn't go to school that day.
"Hey guys." I said finally. "Hey." they all said in sync. "Ugh im so sick of Mr. Robert's." Gwen would say. "He's so annoying. He should go suck the janitors balls." Griffin said. "Yeah i know right. He needs to get his shit together and stop giving us so much stupid work." Donna replied. "I'm surprised you're sitting with us today. Shouldn't you be sitting with your minions?" Robin said.
We all don't really like Donna. She used to be our best friend and was apart of our group. But ever since she got popular, she started changing. We didn't really mind her getting popular, but the fact that she changed on us and started acting fake didn't sit right with us, so we tried distancing ourselves from her.
The popularity probably got to her and she thought she was above everyone else. She still hangs out with us, but we really don't know why. We know she's talked shit about us before, so it's kinda awkward when she's around. I miss Donna though. At least her old self. We used to do everything together. Now, she hangs out with this pick me group and a bunch of shit talkers.
"Well I wanna hang out with you guys today." Donna replied, rolling her eyes. "Oh so now you're just gonna keep switching sides on what kinda girl you wanna be. Like today you decided to be apart of the weird unpopular group?" Gwen said. I just kept my head down, listening to them argue. "Just be happy i'm hanging out with you guys." Donna said.
"How can we after all that's happened Donna? You know what you did and don't even care to say sorry or anything." Gwen said. "Ugh you always have something to say Gwen. Just shush for once." Donna said, looking at her nails. "Hey man, don't talk to her like that. That's my sister." Finney said raising his voice. "And it's Gwendolyn to you." Gwen said. Donna just rolled her eyes.
"Ok Donna you can leave now." Robin said. "Are you serious?" Donna said. "Does it look like we're joking?" Gwen said, also raising her voice. Donna hesitated for a bit. "Well look I think-" she began. "Donna just fucking leave already. No one wants you here and neither do I. So just please leave." I yelled. I knew she would listen to me. Donna just looked at me and then shortly after, walked away to her popular group, where they all huddled around her once she sat on the table.
Then, Vance and Billy came over. Billy had a lunch tray in his hands and Vance had a straw in his hand. "Hey guys. Sorry we took long. We didn't wanna come over here while Donna was still here." Billy said. "Yeah cuz this lil guy here's scared." Vance said, while digging his knuckles into Billy's head. Billy winced and pushed him off. Billy had developed a little crush on Donna, despite her switching up on us. Finney had also but way before Billy had. Finney asked us not to tell Billy, ever, because he didn't wanna bring Billy down.
"Yeah thankfully Y/n made her go away." Finney said. "Badass." Vance said while looking at me. "Well someone hadda get her away. She's so full of shit. One day we gotta beat her ass." I said. "Yeah for sure." Robin agreed.
"So guys, how do we feel about this masked killer going around." Gwen said. "Oh god. If I hear about that mother fucker again, I'm gonna shit myself." Robin said. "Did you guys see Michaels and his group this morning?" I asked. "Mhm." Griffin said, while he ate his apple slices.
"Yup. Know those goons." Vance said while spit balling at some guys. "This shits gettin wild. Do you think they're gonna find the guy under that stupid mask?" Robin said. "Prob not. Police in our town don't do shit." Billy said, while taking a bite out of his sandwich.
The bell rang for next period. "You guys wanna skip with me and smoke sum?" Vance said. "Can't. I don't smoke." Griffin said. "Wish I could but Finney would beat my ass and besides the principle is already on my ass so." Gwen said. "I needa do my work. I gotta start paying attention." Billy said. "I'm down." I said. "Finney wanna join?" Vance asked. Finney thought about it for a bit. "Sure why not." He said. We didn't ask Robin because we already knew the answer. Of course he would.
We said our byes and Vance, Finney, Robin, and I went to our hang out spot, which is this hidden spot behind the school, and smoked a joint.
