"Skolas' right hand man. Thirven. A fallen warrior of legend. The four armed menace wields a scorch cannon with two of his arms. A Shock pistol with another hand and a shock blade with his final. BUt what made him even more of a threat was the mechanical suit he was surrounded in. He had a robotic arm that was mounted around his right shoulder. This arm was armed with a main cannon from a Devil Walker. The suit also transforms into armor. It formed a nigh impenetrable helmet and chest plate." Petra said.

"Understood." I said pulling my mask of my head. "Welcome to Mars!" Orion said waving his arms. "Fallen gotta be tough if they're gonna mess with the Cabal and the Vex." Vette said putting a hand on her hip. "Definitely." Nemori said.

In a matter of moments we were all on our sparrows and headed deeper into Cabal territory. "There is a cave system up ahead. Thirven and his armada are in there." Omega said. "So besides a walking tank, what else are we up against?" Nemori asked taking a knee behind a rock outside the cave system. "A handful of Fallen Captains and some vandals and dregs mixed in." I responded loading my machine gun. "Wait out here, I'll clear the way." I said looking back at Vette, Orion and Nemori. I started walking toward the cave system but Nemori grabbed my shoulder. "For good luck." She said as she lifted my helmet and her simultaneously and kissed me on my metallic lips quickly.

I stood speechless as she turned and walked away.

I pulled Hawkmoon from my side and slowly walked into the cave system. Empty. But I could hear a faint clicking coming toward me. I couldn't see anything but it sounded like it was right on top of me. I fired Hawkmoon at the direction of the sound, and sure enough. A Vandal dropped dead. "Great. Stealth." But suddenly out of nowhere Vandals Began swarming the room. I Fired shot after shot as they kept pouring out of the nothingness. I took cover behind a rock as Vandal sniper were firing out of the nothingness. I called in on the comms asked for backup but only static came through. "Crap." I muttered under my breath. And as if to add to the troubles I had just fired the last round of my Hawkmoon. I pulled out my shotgun and began unloading lead into anything that came to close. I tried the comm again. Still nothing. But eventually, as you can imagine, I soon ran out of ammo for that as well. I was left with my machine gun, I began loading shot after shot as the onslaught seemed to be coming to an end. I sighed as a what seemed to be that Vandal dropped dead.

I dropped from where I was standing down onto my knees, exhausted. And just when I thought it was over I saw a Captain flanked by three vandals and a handful of dregs.

I looked around searching for something, anything, I could use as a weapon. But eventually my eyes fell upon a Vandals shock blades. I picked one up in each hand and yelled as load as I could charging into the mess of Fallen in front of me. I cut through the Fallen with their own weapons. They couldn't seem to stop me. And once I was in the middle of them I blinked up and launched my Nova bomb. Dispersing their ashes to the winds.

I then saw a red laser pointed at my chest from out of the thin air. I threw both of my swords at it as the end of the beam began to glow a brighter orange.

It fired, the shot connecting directly with my chest. I was sent flying back and my head cracked aginst the cave wall. My vision shook and my ears rung. I blacked out moments later. But unbeknown to me the Swords were dealt the killing blow on Thirven.

I came to in a dark room, on a comfortable bed, with Nemori holding my hand. "Aero?" She asked as my optics booted up. "Where am I?" I asked not remembering anything. "Thank God." She said hugging me tightly. "You're here at the Reef. In the Med Bay." She said as she broke her embrace from me. "What happened? My head is killing me." I said grimacing at the pain. "Thirven hit you with his Devil Walker cannon. But when we found him he had two shock blades embedded in his face. Did you have any part in that?" Vette said appearing from the shadows. I tried remembering but my head was still foggy. "I think I did." I said straining to remember.

Suddenly the door to my roof slid open and the Queen of the Awoken walked in, I struggled to get off the bed and kneel but the Queen spoke, "At ease Aero-3." I sat back down on the bed. "It is aware to me that when you first came here, you had no reason to sever me, but yet you have repeatedly risked your life for me, my people, and your friends." Nemori cast a shy glance at me. "So I am now offering you a life of freedom at the tower to teach the juvenile guardians of the Traveler. You are not currently in fighting condition for the life you have lived here, on the reef. So, as Queen of the Awoken, I dismiss you from service, until you are once again ready to rejoin your post." She said as she walked close to my bed. "You have my blessing." she said kissing me on the brow. Vette was next, she bowed quickly and said, "I wait for your return, Aero."

Nemori was the last one in the room. She walked up to me slowly and the light from the stars had illuminated her in a way I had never seen before. She was beautiful. She slowly kissed my lips. Hers slowly playing with my own. "Goodbye Aero." She whispered.

And with that she was gone.
