Mastery and Magic.

Matteo had the ability to master and improve in anything and everything he tried, along with the power to bend the world itself to his will.

The power that he had at his fingertips... it was honestly terrifying.

And those world-shattering abilities belonged to a child, a child that that Camilla Brooke had ended up swearing her eternal, undying loyalty to.

A child she now worshiped as a god.

'A child that's very...' she thought back to their first meeting, just a few weeks ago, where Matteo had proposed to cure her one moment, before taking her to a random, empty mansion off the coast of California, and utterly ruining her the next.

She blushed. 'Forceful.'

Well, she didn't particularly mind. Not at all.

Matteo was many things, and even if she literally couldn't go against him... she didn't mind. Not only was the idea of being entirely subservient to Matteo more than a little arousing, she was also certain that, even if the binding magic he had used on her was lifted, Camilla still wouldn't mind. Since even if she was under Matteo's 'control,' her deity was the most benevolent ruler that one could ask for.

And while he had literally asked her to 'worship' him, he made sure to explain that he didn't mean it in the traditional sense. He wasn't going to smite her if she did something wrong, and she was allowed to have her own opinions. No, he just wanted to be 'the answer to her everything,' which she understood... kind of.

Camilla could see how the idea of being worshiped was arousing– even if her own, er, fetishes were a little different. She was honestly still surprised that Matteo had so readily revealed his mutation to her, but then again, she was his.

Wholly and utterly his.

That was why Matteo hadn't bothered to hide anything from her, so whenever she asked him a question, he'd just... answer.

That was why she knew exactly why he had approached her. She was a hot woman, she had a connection to him that could explain their circumstances leading to adoption, and she was going to die, something that he could exploit.

It was a little humbling to know that she would only continue living because she was a cute teacher that happened to work at Matteo's school.

Then there were Matteo's actual abilities.

When Camilla had asked again why he'd so readily reveal his powers, especially in a world littered with telepaths, Matteo had simply answered, "you wanted to know, didn't you? Besides, even if you told the world what I was capable of, which you won't, it doesn't matter. Since knowing that I can master anything in an instant... it doesn't really reveal anything, does it?"

Which was true.

Mastery wasn't like most powers. Super Strength and Telekinesis were one thing, you could plan around those, but Mastery... it wasn't something you could so easily define.

Especially when Matteo had access to Magic.

Then there was Matteo's life before meeting her, which was... a touchy subject, to say the least.

Camilla knew that something must've happened, she knew that Matteo was an 8-year-old orphan with a verifiable identity, and he had hinted that his physical age differed from his mental one... but that was all she really knew.
