                                                                              Minotaur

As we got into the car me and Grower were in the backseat while Sally drove and Percy was on the shotgun. The roads are really dark tonight and it's like raining buckets. I'm honestly surprised we haven't crashed yet.

The only light we really got was the lightning; this is really not a good sign. And Percy kept turning around and looking at Grower. But hasn't said anything yet.

After an intense yet somehow awkward silence he speaks up. "So you and mom... Know each other?"

Grower's eyes looked pretty panicked. "Not exactly, I mean, we've never met in person. But she knew I was watching you."

At that Percy seems flabbergasted. "Watching me?"

"Keeping taps on you. Making sure you were okay and safe. But I wasn't faking being your friend" He then looks at Percy. "I AM your friend".

Percy seems more confused than ever.

"Um... What are you?"

"That doesn't matter right now"

"What do you mean? My best friend is a donkey from the waist down"

Grover lets out a "Blaa-ha-ha!"

"GOAT!"

"What?"

"I'm a goat from the waist down"

"You just said it didn't matter?"

I decided to take my turn to this conversation. "Percy, he's a satyr."

"Whoa wait what? Satyr? Like in Mr. Brunner's myths? Wait, why do you know?"

I don't answer, instead I just offer a toothy grin.

Grover seems offended and speaks up, "Were the old ladies at the fruit stand a myth, Percy? Was Mrs. Dodds a myth?"

Aaaandd they're arguing again..

"So you admit there was a Mrs. Dodds!"

"Of course."

"Then why-"

"The less you know the better, you attract less monsters that way. We put Mist over humans' eyes. We hoped you'd think the Kindly One was a hallucination. But it was no good. You've started to realize who you are."

"What do you mean?"

A weird sound came from behind us, as if something was chasing us.

"Percy" Sally turned to him. "There's too much to explain and not enough time. We have to get you to safety."

"Safety from what? Who's after me? What's going on?"

"Oh nothing much" Grover spoke up. "Just the Lord of the Dead and a few of his blood-thirstiest minions."

"Grover!"

"Sorry, Mrs. Jackson. Could you drive faster, please?"

After that Percy got quiet for a bit. Soon we passed the strawberry sign and Percy looked at it for a bit.

"Where are we going?" He asked.

I turned to him, "A summer camp."

Right after me Sally says to him. "The place your father wanted to send you."

"The place you didn't want me to go."

"Please, dear," Sally begged. "This is hard enough. Try to understand. You're in danger."
