"Mr. Solace?"
"Yes?" Will practically jumped out of his seat to look at the nurse.
"You are listed here as Mr. DiAngelo's emergency contact, so we are required to take you back and update you on his condition."
Will knew this protocol. All he was hoping for was that they went down the hallway to the regular wards and not the morgue or ICU. His prayers were answered. They went down the hallway to a small, single bed room where Nico was hooked up to an IV and a heart monitor.
"He has an oxygen line, but he doesn't seem to need it. It seems like he had some injuries that were unhealed from previous...incidents."
Will slowly walked to the bedside and grabbed Nico's hand. "What happened to you?"
The nurse looked him dead in the eye. "It seems like a case of domestic abuse."
