Well, I got what I needed, but not at all what I wanted.

I didn't want Zuma involved in this, but I feel that the temperature has dropped a little and I didn't want it to turn up higher than it is or was. Granted, burning down his store definitely didn't do any favors. Though this could be a blessing in disguise. A chance for me and Zuma to reconcile. A chance for us to finally lay everything down and talk. I would love nothing more than for us to put the past behind us and move on to the future together, but I can't help but feel that this is a bad idea. He could get hurt, and I would be responsible, especially if Mayor Humdinger is involved. That slimy scumbag never plays fair.

Though I suppose Zuma knows what he's getting into and is still insisting that he tags along whether he likes it or not. I'll have to put a pin in it for now as we head to Dodger City, Egypt, A canine city just outside of Cairo, where we need to meet Rubble.

Coincidently, Rubble and his family just so happens to be working in Dodger City. No doubt he will be a big help in obtaining the ark before anyone has a chance to even see it.

On the plane ride to Cairo, thanks to Ryder's regards, we caught up with each other and told highlights of our lives now. I actively avoided bringing Ryder up as I didn't know if he were ready for anything of the sort yet and by the way Zuma steered the conversation, he probably thought the same thing.

He was stingy about his recent life first but opened up more as we went along. However, it was disheartening to hear how his surfing stint bombed and how he ended up at that rundown shack.

I wish I was there for him. I would've helped him through it and regained his confidence, because I know for a fact Zuma is the best surfer ever and didn't deserve to be wasted away in some shack.

But there's no time to dwell on that as we are now on to meet up with Rubble. There's no telling how happy he will be when he sees Zuma. I surly cannot wait.

The large extravagant city of Cairo is one of the great epicenters of archaeology. It's history is as rich as gold with ancient pieces spanning thousands and millions of years. From the Great Pyramids in the backdrop of the skyline, to the Sphinx that watches over it all.

Although Cairo was now a modern city just like any other, its canine relations were slowly progressing. For centuries, dogs have served humans as either pets or slaves until the canine revolution reached Egypt recently, but unlike other places in the world, Cario and the better part of Egypt have yet to fully accept it.

This has caused tensions between the humans and dogs of Cairo, so much that dogs have walked away from living in Cario and settled just outside the city where they live independently. The Cario government has tried negotiating but they only got to the point where both sides don't meddle in each other's affairs.

The town, named Dodger City was barley six years old, so the architecture was still in its early stages. Its buildings were made of stone and small huts took the place of homes for dogs to live in, though thanks to employing in independent contractors from around the world, the city is now vastly on its way to match Cario.

One of those contractors was who Rocky and Zuma was to meet, the well-known yet still fairly young canine construction company, Rubble & Crew. Operated and owned by one of their Paw Patrol brethren, Rubble along with his extensive family.

When the Paw Patrol folded, Rubble already had his construction company to fall back on, starting it with his family a few years prior to the Paw Patrol's last days. Since then, Rubble & Crew have been the most trusted builders around and it was no wonder why Dodger City was interested in the Crew's exploits. Having set up their yard long the outsides of the city, in which Rocky and Zuma see when finally arrive.
