Just my luck huh?

Scarlet's digging in the wrong place!

That is just hilarious to me. I wonder how long it will take for them to realize their error, which is why we need to move fast.

Rubble and his family are set to go back to the desert and continue to dig and while he watches my back, I will get to the map room and find the real location of the Well of the Souls and however long it takes, we will dig in and see if the ark exists after all.

I just wish......Zuma was here to see this.

I'm so sorry pal.

Chapter 7: The Map Room

Far deep into the desert and miles away from Cario, was the newly discovered lost city of Tanis. A once thriving city rivaling Cario that had been wiped off the face of the map by a massive sandstorm spanning an entire year. Historians are unsure of why it happened, with most stating that it was simply an act of God. Considering that it also was one of the possible locations of the lost Ark of the Covenant, one would be quick to accept that theory.

Thanks to the efforts of Humdinger's Catastrophe Crew, the famed Rubble & Crew, and some local dogs, the once lost city has now been found and its area was being excavated for the Well of the Souls. Where the ark was kept.

Scaffolding covered a secluded area around the ruined city, accompanied by various construction equipment like excavators, skid steers and bulldozers provided by Rubble & Crew. Swarmed by various breeds of dogs digging in the city while cats stood guard, armed with weaponry to keep out intruders.

The one overseeing the excavation was possibly the only human there. Mayor Humdinger's nephew and right-hand man, Harold Humdinger. A man who has spent all his life under the arm of his uncle, though to him, it felt more like a cold shoulder.

He has aspirations for himself and that drives him more than his uncle ever will. Hoping to one day pass the old coot and run his very own empire. However, he still holds his uncle as an important influence and would at the very least earn his blessing and be worthy enough in his uncle's eyes. He believes that he will surely get it once he delivers the powerful Ark of the Covenant, so failure is not an option this time.

He stands on the brow of a sand dune overlooking the excavation site peering into the high-tech electronic binoculars of his own creation. Watching the dig intently, while thinking about the recent report he gave to his uncle just minutes ago and his uncle's displeased demeaner.

The call mainly summed up to his uncle being very unhappy with the slow progress and his strong displeasure of who Harold was employing to dig for the ark.

His uncle was naturally furious when Herold let it slip out that he employed Rubble & Crew and quite frankly, Herold didn't blame him. He would rather dig for the ark himself than to receive help from one of Ryder's mutts. Their history is way too stained for the two of them to work together, but they were the only construction company nearby with the necessary equipment for the dig. Against his better judgment and behind his uncle's back, Harold worked out a deal with Rubble to ensure that they wouldn't even think of interfering with their plans and in case they do, Harold has a sure plan to make sure they wouldn't get far and promised them that he wouldn't let Ryder or any of the Paw Patrol muck his plans.

Harold then catches sight with the ruthless treasure hunter Mayor Humdinger himself employed go help locate the Ark. A Boston Terrier named Scarlet who has successfully delivered Humdinger many treasures and relics over the years, of course for a high price.
