ALEXANDER MIKE(THE TERRORISTS)

CHAPTER 24

The secretary laid in the floor, she was guarded by two hefty men. They tied her hands to a pipe that looked thin enough to be jabbed loose, apparently they didn’t really see her as a threat. They kidnapped her from the airport and put her in a van, she was blindfolded and driven for hours till they got here, she had been kept here ever since. She was tired and was getting hungry. This two hefty men here kept taking occasional glances at her, she was getting scared, she didn’t like that expression on their faces.

The manager came one time to check up on her, they had a disgruntled discussion with her mostly cursing and swearing. “ They will come for you, one way or another. We’ll be ready then, we’ll kill em all, Mike, Lois, all of em”.  His words gave her hope that Mike and Lois were still out there.

Now she heard  explosions followed by multiple gun shots. The men panicked and one of them left and instructed the other to remain with her. The man looked scared, they could hear screams of men either being blown to bits or getting killed.

“Are you scared?”  she asked the man with a mocking tone. “ Shut the fuck up” he retorted. The gunshots were getting louder and nearer, the man stood up and brought our an auto-reloader pistol. They heard screams of people outside the door and gunshots.

“ Who’s out there? “ the man screamed. He aimed at the door, the shooting stopped and their was silence outside. He was visibly sweating, “ Who’s out there? “ he asked again, this time with much intensity.

“ Please, help!”  a female voice called in an alarm tone, “ I don’t know how I got here, please help me! “. The man looked confused, he opened the door slowly to take a peek, a hand suddenly drew him outside and two shots were fired consecutively to his head, he fell down dead. The door opened and Lois came in. Elena smiled gratefully, “ Took you long enough “.

“ Been busy” Lois said, she told Elena to shift aside and spread her arms as she aimed at the chains bounding her to the pipe. It burst open and the chains fell off. Elena was free finally. She hugged Lois, “ Where’s Mike?” she asked. Lois asked her to listen to the explosions outside and gunshots. “ He’s busy” she replied, “ But I don’t think he has much time, check the pockets of this men for a cell phone “. Elena searched and discovered one. “ What do I do with it? “ she asked.

“ Dial 911, report shootings and drop the location of this place” . Elena dialed 911 and with a frightened voice reported the shootings, she used the Google map to send a GPS location of where they were. “ They’ll be here in ten to fifteen minutes “ Elena announced. They then began hearing voices.

Lois picked more weapons from the dead men, she gave Elena a rifle, “ Can you use one of this? “ she asked. Elena smiled shyly, “ I’m an analysts and an operator , not a Field agent”. 

“ Just hold em, and stay behind me” Lois said . She moved gun raised as Elena trailed behind her. Some men popped out from corners but Lois fired them before they even had a chance to aim. They moved cautiously, they passed through scores of dead men on the floor.” Watch out from your right!”  Elena warned and Lois turned sharply and fired without thinking twice. A man dropped suddenly on the floor. They continued moving till they were out the building.

They noticed most of the men shooting at a particular direction, “ That must be Mike they’re firing at” Lois said. Elena looked scared, “ How can he cope with that? “ she asked, “ He needs help”.

“ On it” Lois said as she raced towards a truck holding a machine gun. She climbed and aimed the machine gun at the men. “ I’ll close my ears if I were you” she advised. Elena used her palms to close her ears and turned away. Lois opened fire, shooting tons of bullets at once. She aimed at every man she could find and vehicle. She was mindful of where Mike was. The bullets tore through woods, blocks, iron sheets and vehicle parts. Men dived into corners as the machine gun unleashed bullets, causing chaos in the atmosphere. It ran out of bullets after some minutes. Lois noticed the damages and she marveled.

She jumped down and pushed the secretary towards a corner as the men retaliated. They opened fire at them, Lois noticed the manager, he looked confused. He was trying to find a way to escape. She aimed at his right leg and fired. He screamed and fell to the floor. She noticed he was trying to reach a bike kept at a corner. She opened fire at the bike, shooting at its tank, within minutes, it burst into flames.

The men were concentrating on them now, they both bent low, Lois wasn’t having an opportunity to fire back at them, they kept shooting consistently at them. That was when they heard sirens, everyone was surprised, Except the girls of course. The police opened fire, they wore bullet proofs and had shields. There were about eight police vehicles and they looked more like a SWAT team. This men stood no chance.

“ We need to fetch Mike and get the hell out of here” Lois screamed amidst the loud gunshots. Elena looked confused, “ But the Calvary is here, they can help us”.

Lois sighed, “ We’re fugitives now, long story, let’s fetch Mike and get the hell out of here.”. They moved quickly, following shadows and taking cover behind every thick object they could find.

“ Isn’t that Mike?” Elena asked. Lois looked and spotted someone lying on the floor looking bloodied.   “ Jesus!” she cursed. They rushed towards him and went to him. He was struggling to stay conscious. He smiled weakly when he saw them. They both helped him up. Lois noticed the police were gaining victory. Mike slipped into unconscioness.

They both held him side by side and dragged him out the fence. . “ Where are we going? “ Elena asked. “ Our Calvary “ Lois replied. They kept moving, Lois turned and saw the police making arrests, some of the men had surrendered. She searched and saw the manager in cuffs. Bastard deliberately turned himself in, he knew he wouldn’t be in jail for long. They kept moving till they reached the Porsche.

“ Wow!”  Elena exclaimed, “ This is the Calvary? Tell me you’ve got the keys”.

Lois brought out the keys and handed them over to Elena, “  You’re driving “ she said. They managed to put Mike in the back seat and Lois stayed there with him trying to reduce the blood flow by applying pressure. Elena ignited the engine as she drove them away. Lois watched Mike in his unconscious state. He was strong and determined, she could feel him fighting his way back to consciousness despite his pain. She realized he had lost so much, “ We will win” she said to herself, “ Good always wins evil, we will stop this. Together “
