Nine - What Lies Ahead

Finn and his group finally make it to the Orlando International Airport. A horde of roamers block the airport entrance as Finn gets out his knife to fight. Finn tells his group to get ready to stick together and to stay close. Tiffany cradles Sheldon as she wraps the baby in a little blanket. Peggy gets out her bow and arrows as Anna takes out her machete and BJ takes out his pocketknife. Kimberly takes out Ardwin's butcher knife and Cameron and Margo take out their silencer guns. The group starts doing anything they can to move forward towards the airport entrance. Kimberly and Anna slash as Peggy stays kinda behind the group so she can hit headshots with her arrows. BJ stabs roamers in the head as some roamers channel the hivemind so more roamers horde come surround the airport. Cameron and Margo are proud of their daughter Kimberly for being so brave but in the corner of their eyes, they see BJ about to get sneak attacked by a roamer. Cameron screams for Anna as Anna witnesses BJ getting bit on the neck by a roamer. BJ screams in agony so Margo shoots the roamer that bit BJ in the head. BJ passes out due to shock and Finn sees the incoming roamer hordes in the distance coming to the airport and Finn tells his group to retreat inside. Peggy carries BJ as Finn kills any roamer that is in his way and the group makes it inside. Anna barricades the entrance door with wooden planks as the group scuttles over to a table and Peggy lays BJ on it. BJ cries as he tries to spit out his final words. Kimberly sobs as she says her goodbyes to BJ and BJ slowly turns into a roamer as Anna turns hysterical. Anna verbally sobs as she sees her child turn into a roamer and BJ fully turns and he jumps at Anna and they fall. Anna is shocked as BJ tries to bite her and she does nothing to stop him. Before BJ bites Anna, Cameron decides to do the brave move and he uses Anna's machete to decapitate BJ. Anna is bewildered as BJ's head and body flop onto the ground and Anna turns on Cameron and she yells at him. Anna yells "WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!?" and Cameron gets mad at Anna for doing what he needed to do to ensure Anna and everyone else's safety. Anna storms out the room as four roamer hordes surround the airport. Margo understands Cameron was just trying to keep Anna safe so Margo hugs Cameron as he hugs her back. Cameron decides that he should talk to Anna and he runs after Anna. Kimberly is in shock as her best friend died in front of her and Kimberly excuses her so she can leave the room to cry. Sheldon starts to cry and Finn snatches Sheldon away from Tiffany and he gives her a side eye. Finn cradles Sheldon and tries to calm him down by burping him but it doesn't work and Sheldon's crying causes Peggy to leave the room due to awkwardness. Anna goes to the top of the airport and she gazes at the broken world she's living in. Anna looks down as all she can see is hordes of roamers surrounding the building. Anna contemplates killing herself by jumping off the building and into the roamer hordes but before she can do that, Cameron tells her to stop. Anna softly steps back from the ledge and she says "Why should I?" and Anna turns around to confront him. Anna yells "You killed the last person that I had left in my life that mattered to me!" and Cameron says back to her "It was a split second decision, I had to!" but Anna backfires with "YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO DO SHIT!". Cameron starts to get frustrated as he tells Anna "If I didn't do anything, then you would've gotten bit." but Anna says to him "Well maybe that's what should've happened then." Cameron sighs and says that he's sorry even when he doesn't think he's in the wrong and Anna doesn't accept his apology and Anna storms back into the airport building as Cameron ponders to himself if he truly is in the wrong or not. When Anna goes back inside, Margo decides to comfort the mourning Anna as Finn tries to burp Sheldon so he stops crying but Sheldon keeps on crying. Tiffany decides to go to bed early as the sun starts to set. Sheldon finally goes to sleep in Finn's arms as Finn tells him goodnight. Peggy goes to bed on the airport's third floor as Anna stays up all night, staring at BJ's decapitated head and headless corpse. Kimberly also goes to bed next to Cameron and Margo as Cameron and Margo go to bed cuddled up together in one of the terminals as Finn walks in. Finn gets jealous because whether or not Finn wants to admit it, Finn wishes he and Tiffany were on good terms and that they could be cuddled up together just like how Cameron and Margo are doing. Finn goes to bed in one of the other terminals and as Finn goes to bed, he prays that his mom will come back to life, even though it will never happen. The next morning, the sun rises and Peggy wakes up first as she stretches and rubs her eyes. Hordes of roamers are still scratching to get in as Peggy realizes that it's February 19, 2011 which means that it's the day where the helicopter scouters will go on a survivor scouting mission and pick up survivors. Peggy realizes this and she gets excited as she goes to wake everyone up. Peggy wakes up everyone and Finn tells everyone to get all their weapons as they are not coming back to the airport. Everyone gets their weapons as Anna is still staring at BJ's decapitated head and headless body as flies start to buzz around it. Cameron decides that he should try apologizing again so he walks up to Anna but Anna sees this and she picks up her machete and slightly slices Cameron's leg. Anna screams "DON'T TOUCH BJ!" as Anna's bloodshot eyes sour as she points her machete at the now limping Cameron. The group pull out their weapons to defend themselves and Anna sees that the group is afraid of her. Anna cries as she thinks about all the loss in her life, and that causes Anna to lose it and she screams as she takes off the wooden planks on the entrance door, letting hordes of roamers inside the airport. Anna immediately looks worried after her decision as she genuinely says  "Omg, what did I do!?" as roamers pour inside. Finn tells his scatter and the group run to the roof of the airport as Margo snaps Anna out of it and Anna runs with them. Cameron tries to run but he limps and he almost gets bit but his wife Margo kills the roamer and Margo lets Cameron use her shoulders as balance. Tiffany makes it to the roof and Tiffany becomes enraged as she sees Finn almost drop Sheldon. Cameron uses his silencer gun to kill some roamers as Margo almost falls helping Cameron walk. Anna thinks about getting revenge on Cameron so Anna sets her plan in motion by telling Margo that she can carry Cameron and that Margo should go with the rest of the group. Margo agrees and Margo runs with the rest of the group as a group of roamers are behind Anna and Cameron. Margo makes it to the roof and Kimberly sees her and screams "MOM!" as Kimberly runs to hug Margo and Margo hugs her daughter back. Anna has grief and revenge on her mind as she lets Cameron off her shoulders. Cameron is confused of what she's doing but Anna finishes her revenge plan by stabbing Cameron with her machete. Cameron falls to the ground as roamers start to surround him and Anna runs to the roof and leaves Cameron to get eaten alive. Anna makes it to the roof and the group asks "Anna, where's Cameron?!?" Anna puts on an act and she says that she saw Cameron getting swarmed by roamers and Cameron screaming his lungs out. Margo freaks out and Margo starts crying, thinking her husband is dead but to everyone's surprise, Cameron storms up to the roof holding his bleeding stab wound. Anna looks in shock as her plan to kill Cameron failed and Cameron looks at Anna. Cameron tells the group that Anna tried to kill him and Anna obviously denies it but Margo believes it. Margot swiftly pulls out her silencer gun out of her pocket and Kimberly sees this. Margo tries to shoot Anna but Kimberly quickly pushes Margo's arm, making the gun shoot towards the ground. Kimberly incapacitates her mother Margo as Anna cowardly looks for protection from the other group members. Finn decides that he's had enough and he puts a knife to Anna's throat and Tiffany tries to calm him down. Finn whispers to Anna that he'll slice so deep into her throat that she will cough up blood and Tiffany realizes that if Finn keeps getting more violent and erratic, he'll end up just like Wallace. Finn says that if Anna ever tries to do what she did to Cameron to anyone else, he'll make her suffer. Anna complies as Finn throws her to the ground and the group looks at Finn. Finn tells the group that they need to stick together as one and that if they do any action fueled by emotions and not logic, there will be punishments. Finn says that if anyone has a problem of how things are going to go from now on, they can leave whenever they want. Finn also says that the reason that they are alive is because that they're strong mentally and emotionally and that the group proves that the strong survive while the weak die. Finn pushes himself to the forefront as the group silently agrees to Finn's demands, with only Tiffany not agreeing. Peggy looks out in the distance and she sees the Pamalon helicopter flying towards the airport. Cameron and Margo hug Kimberly as the three will finally live in a safe environment as Peggy supports Finn's speech and she realizes how much her outlook on the apocalypse has changed ever since being on this journey with Finn's group but also, Peggy realizes how much Pamalon Island is different from the outside world and how bad the Pamalonians are gonna get humbled by the apocalypse if Finn's group comes to the island. Anna regrets her insane decision of trying to kill Cameron and she silently cries as she thinks about how BJ wouldn't felt about her killing Cameron. Finn cradles Sheldon as he and his baby brother will live in a safe place for once as Tiffany thinks about different ways to try to get Finn back on the right track. The helicopter lands on the roof and Finn's group gets in the helicopter as the helicopter flies off the ground and eventually, the helicopter flies towards Pamalon Island.
