"Are we still goin to that place?" Tahj nodded, dusting chalk off her hand she was playing in earlier.

"Yea they close at 3 in the mornin. I'm just tryna let it get late so it's not that many people. Is that fine with you?" Nodding she looked at the bikes in the front yard. They were at Kayla's family house in New Jersey, they stayed in the outskirts so it was really just dirt roads and a couple fields.

"Yea, come on let's go take a ride these skeetas bitin." Tahj shook his head making her frown. "We got the car right here,"

"Miles is gone with the keys Tahj stop bein lame," to her annoyance he only refused.

"Why?"

"I don't kno how to ride. I'll watch you tho, go pop a wheelie for me." He laughed, watching her jaw dropped. "You don't kno how to ride a bike? Really?"

"Look at where we live where Ima learn at," nodding Iruo stood up, grabbing him. "I'll teach you."

"What?"

"Ima teach you how to ride a bike Tahj. "

"I'm ok."

"No, now let's go. You need to learn." Tahj shook his head blowing out smoke and throwing the roach somewhere into the grass. Turning his attention back to Iruo who just stared.

"What?"

"I really wanna teach you, please." Tahj dropped his head, he was out of there. Sighing he got up making her smile.

"I won't let you fall." He sucked his teeth picking up the biggest bike and walking to the road. Putting it on its kickstand she pointed out the parts he needed to know.

"Ok so get on." Tahj did just that before standing back up, "Ima fall." Iruo laughed shaking her head.

"No you won't, put your feet on the pedals." He did as told she lifted the kickstand holding onto the bike, "Iruo."

"I gotchu baby trust me,"

Feeling his heartbeat speed up he nodded, "Push forward, don't go to fast because im still holding on. I won't let go until you tell me too ok?"

"Ok."walking alongside the bike Iruo encouraged him, watching as he got more confident in his riding he leaned up a bit.

"I'm doin it?"

"Yes, " right when she said that he hit a bump and started falling but she wouldn't let him. "Told you I got you."

Tahj was nervous after that, "I'm done?"

"Not til you do it on your own, come on."

He sighed, pushing the pedals keeping himself up, once he got the hang of it he asked her to let go. "Ok, watch out for the bumps ok?"

"Aight." Iruo let go, watching as he wobbled for a couple seconds. before he was up on the roads, right when he was turning around a cat came from under a car making him lose focus.
