"Hmmm?"

When I woke up I found my head cushioned between a pair of magnificent breasts, each bigger than my head. Such sinfully soft, near marshmallow-like goodness.

As an avid Souls player: Amazing Chest Ahead!

"Sora... finally awake are you?" I heard a familiar voice ask.

It took me a few seconds to realize I wasn't being ridden by fantasy border patrol to be executed.

I craned my head up to see Rias's beautiful blue eyes gazing down at me.

...And then immediately shoved my head back rightfully into her bosom.

"Sora?" I could practically hear the raised eyebrow.

"World hard and cold. Tiddy soft and warm," I said sagely, "Titty all day everyday."

Praise Micheal!

Ow...

"Koneko's right, you're hanging around Issei way too much." She let out a cute giggle, and I felt her hand move to the top of my head, her nails pleasantly scratching the top of my head. I almost immediately began to relax, letting go of some unknown tension I had.

I felt my eyes begin to droop when Rias spook up once again.

"Sora...?" There was a certain hesitance in her voice.

"Hmmm?" I made a questioning sound through my drowsiness.

And then she asked the most damning question she could have: "How long have you really known about us being devils?"

My heart rate skyrocketed, adrenaline pumped into my veins. "Ah... shit."

"Hmmm. That certainly confirmed some suspicions." She said in a neutral tone. "Now, out with it. I want the truth."

I once again reluctantly pulled myself out of her wonderful chest, and sat up. "Okay, fair enough. You deserve to know the truth, but the answer is stupid, convoluted, makes no sense... and involves isekai."

Rias sat up as well, her red hair conveniently covering her nipples, her expression was completely unamused. "Sora, I swear to Maou..."

I resisted the urge to wince. "Yeah, that's the reaction I expected. Listen, just use whatever esoteric mind magic you have to look at my memories, cause it's honestly easier than trying to explain this nonsense."

Rias looked into my eyes with a very judging stare, then let out a long sigh. "Fine..."

[-]

She had half the mind to blast him with a magic bolt to the face and storm out of that room right now after what she heard. Hell, she had half the mind to drag him kicking and screaming to Koneko to personally kick his ass!

But at the very least she'd hear him out if he was willing to go as far as open his own mind to her...

There were more than a few spells for viewing the memories of others. After all, it was incredibly important to make sure the existence of the supernatural was kept as hidden as possible from the normal human populace. It wasn't anything new for her either considering how often they fought Stray Devils in the town. Mental suggestions to keep people in their homes and away from the battles, not to mention barriers, and straight up rewriting memories.

Viewing the memories of another person wasn't too difficult, but it was made far easier when you had consent from the target.

Rias put her forehead against Sora's, she stared closely into his sky blue eyes, and could feel his breath on her lips. For a second she found her mind wandering. He had given her full permission to look into his mind, meaning she could see anything and everything if she wanted. She could watch the fight between Sora and Freed, hear his thoughts, or even view the torture he was subjected to that lead to her reincarnating him as a devil.

There was a dark, curious, and very morbid part of herself that wanted to see what had happened for herself. She shut that part of herself down almost immediately as it made itself known.

"Just...show me, already." She said, tiredness in her voice as she activated the spell.

"Well," Sora let out a nervous laugh, "Welcome to High School DxD."

With that, memories began flowing into Rias's mind and...

A light novel. With Asia, Issei, and Rias herself on the cover, a stylized DxD on the cover, with both Ds having cute little devil wings and spaded tails.

An anime that lasted four seasons... a manga... many, many lewd figures, and oh goodness that was a lot of erotic fan art! There was so much... especially that last one! The official artwork from what she saw was just as lewd if not more in some cases.

Regardless, she had some new outfit and cosplay ideas for... special occasions.

Rias cut off the connection between herself and Sora, looking at him in a new light. "Isekai?"

Sora nodded nervously. "Isekai."

Her face went through several emotions. "W-What?! H-How?! Why-?!" She stopped herself, then looked at the young man inquisitively. "Was it Truck-kun?"

"Pfffffft! Hahahahahahaha!" To her surprise Sora busted out laughing, curling in on himself, holding his stomach. "First off: Fuck that high-beams having jackass!"

Rias put a hand to her mouth. "Oh maou, it actually was Truck-Kun..."

Sora pointed at her. "And second: Fuck you."

Rias looked between Sora and the finger pointed at her, she raised an eyebrow and gave him a saucy smirk. "Is that an invitation?"

Her Pawn faltered for a second. "I... we should probably wait until after Riser's been dealt with."

She blinked. "Oh yeah, you would know about that, wouldn't you?"

"You didn't watch the whole thing?"

"I saw flashes of memories. If I were to view them in its entirety we'd be here all day." She explained.

Sora let out a breath. "You're taking this way better than I thought you would."

"Well, it does shed some light on your world building choices for our manga." She gave him a look. "You've been trolling me for years."

Sora let out a small snort, then silence overtook the room once again.

Rias took his hand into her own, running her fingers along his. "Why didn't you tell us that you knew we were Devils?"

"Some random human comes along with no connection to the supernatural whatsoever and tells you he knows you're devils. That might be my pessimism speaking, but regardless of how kind I knew you were, I doubt it would've gone over well." He explained.

She let out a sigh. "Begrudgingly, I see your logic."

Her first guess before the whole isekai thing was that either he saw them fighting a Stray Devil, or he was a spy from the Vatican.

"Besides..." Sora continued. "I'm just a background character, an NPC, I wasn't supposed to get involved."

And like that, a lot of Sora's actions over the past two weeks started to make sense.

Rias felt a cold pit in her stomach. "Sora, for Maou's sake, please tell me you didn't try to get yourself killed to 'make things right.'"

Sora opened his mouth to say something, but the words died on his tongue. His mouth shut with an audible click, and he refused to look her in the eyes.

SMACK!

Before Rias knew what happened, there was a stinging sensation in her hand. Sora had a red mark on the side of his face, his eyes wide in pain or shock she didn't know, nor did she care.

"You... you complete and utter moron!" She damn near screamed it in his face.

Never in her life had she felt such anger. Her heart was practically beating through her chest, and she could practically feel her blood begin to boil.

"Yeah, I completely deserved that." Sora's voice was small as he rubbed where she slapped him.

"How dare you?" Rias's voice was a growl.

Sora obviously had no idea how to deal with this. "H-Huh...?"

"How dare you believe we would think so low of you..." Her hand balled up into fists, she could feel her nails digging into her palms but she didn't care. "How dare you think that you were...replaceable to us!"

How dare you think you were replaceable to me?!

It was left unsaid but he knew it. He had to after everything they had been through.

"I just..." Sora hung his head, his voice barely a whisper. "I didn't want to get in the way."

Get in the way?!

She might not have been there to see the fight itself, but it was obvious that Sora went blow or blow against Freed and kept up with him nearly every step of the way. If anything she was that one that got in the way, she could admit that. Trying to keep Sora away from the fight in the first place had been her biggest mistake throughout this entire ordeal!

No... the problem went deeper than that. It was clear as day that there was more to the issue than...

Oh...

Though it was only flashes, it was obvious that the Rias of the story, High School DxD, was in love with Hyoudou Issei. Good for her, more power to her. But that wasn't her. The Rias of now and the Rias of that story were two different people, that was an undeniable fact.

But the Rias here and now, she...

To hell with it!

Rias grabbed Sora's face, forcing him to look at her. Then, without warning, she closed the distance between them. She saw as his eyes began to widen before she closed her own...

"Mmmh?!"

And captured his lips...

It was her first kiss. It was their first kiss.

It almost felt like fireworks had gone off in her head the moment their lips made contact. She half-expected him to pull back, but to her relief, he didn't. Maybe he was just too surprised to do so, but she took advantage of his lack of action and wrapped her arms around his head and deepened their kiss.

After a few long seconds, she pulled back, and glared into his eyes. She was still very much pissed off at him.

"I love you, you complete idiot." She confessed her feelings at long last.

"Rias, I..." There was still doubt in his eyes, a conflicted look on his face.

She knew him well enough that she could practically read his mind from his facial expressions alone. He always made that same face whenever he second guessed himself.

'Is this right?' or 'Do I deserve this?'

That's what was probably on his mind, but she knew just how to get through to him.

The only thing that held her back from confessing her feelings was her fear of how he'd react to her being a devil. Now, she knew that would've never had been a problem, it was a colossal weight off of her shoulders she never knew she had.

Two years. She'd known this lovable idiot for two years, and been in love with him for nearly as long. She still remembered the day they first met. The dumbfounded face he made when he first saw her was absolutely adorable, it was one of her most treasured memories.

A background character? An NPC? What utter nonsense. He was a precious and irreplaceable friend, not just to her but to her Peerage, the Student Council, and even the Perverted Trio!

It was far too late for such excuses. She'd drag him kicking and screaming into the spotlight with her if she had to.

Her expression softened, and she could feel tears well up in the corners of her eyes. "I love you. I don't want anyone else."
