Chapter 10

Isabella's P.O.V.~

The last thing I remembered before blacking out was walking out of Dick's with Ember and having my named called. Opening my eyes, I saw I was in a cell. I sat up and did a quick take around the cell. My heart quickened as I didn't see Ember. I closed my eyes and forced myself to calm down. I heard two pairs of footsteps echo from down the corridor. With my eyes still closed, I backed myself into the corner of the cell. 

"She seems to be awake," a rough voice said. I tried my hardest not to move, hoping that they would walk away. "Oh well, they want her awake or not." I heard keys jangle as they travel to the cell door. The door protested being opened. Two footsteps approached me. Once they stopped, I felt them grab under my arms. They hoisted me up as they dragged me out into the light. I was dragged along for about 10 minutes until I heard a voice that sent shivers down my spine in just two words.

"Hello Isabella."

Loki's P.O.V.~

"WHERE IS SHE?!?!?!" I boomed in the halls of the throne room.

"Loki, who are you talking about?" I heard Father say from behind me. 

"You know who!" My shout echoed off of the golden pillars. "My daughter! Your favorite child took the one thing I cared about most in this world!"

"That is impossible. Thor was here not even ten minutes ago," Father denied.

"Who ever said that it was him who was sent to go get her? She was under the care of Lady Sif's younger sister, Ember." There was a chorus of gasps from my mother and her counsel. 

"What are you talking about, Loki." Lady Sif said as she walked into the room with a smile on that smug face of hers. "I was in my house feeling ill. If you have proof, I do have housekeepers who can tell you my whereabouts this evening."

"I have distrust to anyone in your household." My voice began to shake with anger. "Why can none of you allow my happiness?" I turned on my heels without another word and stormed out of the throne room.

Ezra's P.O.V.~

Did she run away because of me? I know I was mean but she was only here for a week. I feel as if this is all my fault. Or was it Tarron's fault. He's always screwing up! I need him out of my life!

"TARRON!! GET IN HERE!" I shouted at my pesky twin brother.

"What do you want?" he asked as he rubbed his eyes. I winced when I remembered what time it was. 

"What happened between you and Bella yesterday?" I said quietly.

"We did our project then I came home. There was nothing else," he sated while rolling his eyes. Ugh now I know why he hated us doing that to him. I stood up and grabbed the front of his shirt and put my forehead on his.

"You better be telling me everything because if there is anything else I'll-"

"You'll what?" a deep voice asked behind him. I slowly looked up from my brother to see my dad standing there looking mad with his arms crossed.

"Nothing, sir." I said backing away from Tarron.

"Was there any reason to wake me then?"

"I am terribly sorry, sir, but I was concerned about one of my friends. She went missing today and her father called me and woke me so I was asking Tarron if he knew where she was. I am sorry." I said quickly fearing my dad's rage.

"Is she one of my students?" he asked calmly.

"Yes, sir. It's Isabella." I said. I saw his face morph from upset to pissed and I was terrified. 

Isabella's P.O.V.~ 

"Hello Isabella." I looked up to see the face of my uncle, Thor.

"Why are you doing this, Thor?" I said dryly. "Aren't you happy that your brother will finally leave you and your bitch alone?" I felt a sharp pain fall across my face from the right side.

"Don't ever bad mouth him or Lady Sif again. Do you understand?" I heard the guard on the right side said.

"Yes, sir," I muttered sarcastically.

"Guard, do not hit her without permission!" Thor rumbled

"Yes, sir."

"Now. Loki told me how you might have powers from another realm, so I brought you here against my fathers orders to find out where you are from."

"You've basically turned me into a guinea pig! I don't want tests done to me! I am a plain human!" I protested.

"Well now, it seems as if you don't have a choice." I gasped at the voice that came from behind me.
