Chapter 11: The Wedding Announcement

Celine was all set for the party, and Randy came to pick her up. She was taken aback by Randy's handsomeness, and was eager for the party to begin. Once they arrived, they had difficulty making their way through the throngs of people. However, they were fortunate to encounter the king's guards, who helped them navigate the crowd.

Queen Katherine spotted a girl at the event who looked almost identical to her daughter, Princess Beth. However, she knew that the girl was not Princess Beth; she was actually Princess Beth's twin sister. Despite this, Queen Katherine couldn't help but admire the girl's beauty. As the Queen was lost in her thoughts, King Paul took to the stage and requested everyone's attention.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I have an announcement to make," he said. "My son, Prince Philip, has chosen a wife. Her name is Celine Arnold."

The crowd was in shock when they heard that Prince Philip intended to marry Celine Arnold, who was Felicity's daughter.

Someone in the crowd shouted, "How could you let your son marry a witch?!"

Queen Katherine was about to respond, but Prince Philip spoke up first. "Who I marry is none of your business. Watch how you speak to my future wife!" he said angrily.

Celine was taken aback when she found out that she was supposed to marry Prince Philip. She neither wanted nor agreed to the marriage. Celine was about to confront the prince when someone pulled her away along with Randy. Confused and frustrated, she asked what was happening. It was then that Queen Katherine revealed herself as Celine's mother. Celine was shocked to see a girl who looked just like her standing beside the queen. Princess Beth appeared equally surprised and asked if Felicity had kidnapped her sister. However, Queen Katherine explained that their grandfather Ray had lied about her. She narrated how he had once told the king that she was a witch who could turn things into gold.

"Did you really know how to turn things into gold?" asked Princess Beth. "No, I did not," replied Queen Katherine.

"Your grandfather, King Arnold believed that I could. But I didn't want your grandfather Ray to get into trouble for lying. So, I pretended that I could turn things into gold. The king then gave me a task to turn hay into gold. I didn't know how to do it. That's when Felicity appeared and offered to help me. However, she demanded my first-born child in return. I didn't agree at first, but I knew that if I didn't turn the hay into gold, I would be executed. So I agreed to give my first-born to her, but only if she promised to take care of the child as her own. I gave birth to twin daughters, and Felicity took you, Celine. I understand if you're angry with me," Queen Katherine explained.

"I am not angry with you. I do not understand why you are telling me this now," questioned Celine.

"I want to help you. I know that you do not love Prince Philip. Moreover, Prince Philip has not yet met your sister Princess Beth. You and Princess Beth look alike. If you do not want to marry Prince Philip, you can switch places with Princess Beth," suggested Queen Katherine.

After considering the idea, Celine agreed to switch places with Princess Beth.
