Chapter 3: Have A Chat With Me

"Well, somebody's being a little flirty, aren't they?" said Bethany, teasing the boy a little bit.

"Bollocks! It looks like I've been caught!" said the boy teasingly.

Bethany just gave him a confused look.

"You have no idea what I just said, do you?" the boy asked

"Nope! I've .. never heard the word "bollocks" before."

"You're not from around here, are you?" the boy asked.

"No .. I'm from America." Bethany stated.

"I thought so. Your accent sounds different." said the boy.

Again, Bethany thought that the boy looked really familiar, but, yet again, she could not place where she had seen him from.

"I'll ... I'll go get you your muffin now. Do you have a preference?" Bethany asked.

"Nope. Surprise me." the boy said, and he winked again.

Bethany laughed. "Haha. Okay." she said with a smile.

"God, this kid is such a flirt." Bethany thought.

*back at the apartment*

Chelsea is on the phone with her parents, who are currently living in the United States, telling them that she got a paid internship for BBC (the biggest broadcasting company in England, for television, radio, etc.)

"That's right, daddy. BBC! The biggest broadcasting company in England!" Chelsea said

"Yes, I know it's only an internship now, but you didn't expect me to go to the top right away, did you? I mean, come on. Nobody starts at the top, and you know that's true." Chelsea stated.

...

"Yes, daddy. It should be enough to help me pay my share of the rent, and my tuition bills. Things here are actually less expensive than they are back in the states." said Chelsea.

...

"Oh. Mommy's not back home from work yet? That's fine. Just tell her to call me when she gets back home from work, okay daddy?"

...

"I love you daddy! I miss you guys! ..... and Brendan too."

...

"No. that's okay. Brendan can call me when he's ready to. I know, he's busy. I know what the first year of college is like. Tell him that I said that I miss him."

...

"Alright, well, I have to start early tomorrow, so I need to get sleep."

...

"No, I do not have any classes tomorrow because school doesn't actually start for another four days."

"Okay."

"Okay. Love you too, daddy! Please tell mommy and Brendan that I love and miss them, and to call me, okay?"

...

"Okay! Bye daddy! I love you!" Chelsea exclaimed.

(Brendan is Chelsea's younger brother.)

Chelsea hung up the phone, and looked at the clock, and realized something strange ..... Bethany's shift had ended, and she was not home...

Bethany surprised the boy with a blueberry muffin, and brought it to the table.
