It was gloomy in Olympus. The sky was grey and lightning strikes struck the outer parts of our mountain.
My father was leading us into our palace where he was gonna talk to me about something.
Backers and demigods were whispering and chittering as me and my father walked past. They'd give us a frightened look then go and whisper to their friend.

It hadn't stormed in Olympus for over 1000 years. I'd be frightened too.
The air was cold leading up to the palace. It was thick, it made my throat dry up and my eyes water.

When we made it to the foot of the door he stopped. He lifted up his hands and placed it on the center of the door. It took a few seconds before the door flew open and banged into the wall. His fingers twitched before he let his hand fall back to his side and walked in.

In room, right when you walked in, you could see his pure golden throne. It was decorated in carvings and wirds that described his stories.  He walked up to it and roared in his throat. He looked at one of the carvings before looking back at me. His head was low and his eyes were the deepest blue you'd ever see.

He wrapped his hand around one arm of the chair and sat down with a groan. As he sat the door behind me slammed closed and sent a shiver throughout my body. We sat in a void of silence for about 10 seconds, even though it felt like an eternity. "So..." He spoke. His voice was scruffy and deep, like he'd been yelling for years at this point. "We haven't talked in a while daughter." His gaze softened and looked me in my eyes.

I said nothing and took my eyes off of his. "How how you been?" He asked me. "Did the training with Athena help?" I was meant to be training my control of lightning, but no matter how much practice or pushing I had, nothing seemed to work. "Why did you call me here father?" I said as I looked at the ground.

"Very well. The key, last night it was stolen." My heart sunk straight to my feet and my skin turned pale. The key of Olympus was the only thing protecting our city from being infiltrated. I kept my calm, tried not to let him read me. "What does this matter have to do with me?"I asked. I looked back up at him. "You... must find it, and bring it back safely to Olympus."

My breath got even heavier and I gulped. It was hard to see in the dark lighting of the palace but I had a feeling he knew my skin was pale, he knew I was scared. "You will be sent to the mortal world with two other 12 year olds to fight by your side, Zagerus, Son of Hades, and Triton, Son of Poseidon."

This was gonna be the first time I was seeing them since we were six. We had a good relationship at first, but our parents sort of drifted us apart, made us have conflict that they still hadn't let go.
"Do you accept your quest?" I looked at him with a neutral expression and sighed. "I do... father."

He nodded his head and stood to his feet. The lightning stopped for a few seconds before continuing once again.
"Pack your bags, you must leave my dawn tomorrow. Three of our finest Pegasus will be waiting for you outside of the gate. Please, do not fail."

I went to go speak, something like You think I'd fail!? Me? Never! But before I got the chance his whole body began to turn into a flash of light. He turned into a beam of light and bursted out and up, seemingly phasing through every floor until he made it out of the palace. I was standing there alone, in my father's throne room, about to go on my first quest ever, and be in the mortal world for the first time.

I walked up the marble stairs and into my room. The halls were massive. Each room was like a theater on its own, and the decorations of battles from the past, like when Perseus fought that sea monster for a girl, I wish someone would do that for me.

I finally made it to my room. It wasn't as big as the others, as I requested it to be a normal size for me.
Hanging on the wall above my bed was the sword my mother had gifted to me. It was meant to save one day, that's what the prophecy said, well one of them anyway. I had two prophecies. They always bugged me. They were both given to me when I was so little, but they wouldn't happen until so far in the future, even past now.
