After days of searching, Zeddicus finally discovers the location of Kenrick and his pack. Cordelia and Zeddicus make plans and set off to visit him. As they arrive at the pack's hidden houses within the forest, they are met with a group of pack members who stand guard. The atmosphere is tense, and the pack members eye Zeddicus and Cordelia warily.
"What business do you have here? This is our territory, and we don't take kindly to outsiders."
Zeddicus takes a step forward in front of Cordelia, displaying his protection over her.
"We come seeking an audience with Kenrick. We mean no harm and wish to discuss important matters."
"We don't trust your kind. You're not welcome here. Leave before we make you."
Just as the tension escalates, Kenrick emerges from one of the houses, sensing the commotion. He spots Cordelia and a smile brightens his face. He swiftly makes his way towards her, his heart filled with joy.
"Cordelia! I can't believe you're here. I've missed you so much."
His arms instinctively reach out to embrace her, but Zeddicus swiftly intervenes, gripping Kenrick's arms and pulling them away from Cordelia.
"Watch yourself, Kenrick. Cordelia's safety is my priority. You will not touch her without her consent."
Kenrick, taken aback by Zeddicus' protectiveness, nods and releases himself from the dragon's grip. His eyes turn to Cordelia, filled with longing and concern.
"I'm sorry, Cordelia. I didn't mean to overstep. It's just... seeing you here, I can't help but feel relieved and happy."
Cordelia, caught in the middle, looks between Zeddicus and Kenrick, sensing the tension between them.
"Kenrick, it's good to see you too. I need your help. Something terrible has happened. The demon hunters, led by Gabriel, attacked Club Illusion. They captured Alec and the Girls of Sin. We must rescue them."
"What? How did this happen? Are they alright?"
"I don't know the full details, but they overwhelmed us. They came in with force and took them captive. I managed to escape with Zeddicus, but we need to save them. I can't let them suffer."
"I understand your concern, Cordelia. But the truth is, I don't know if I can be of much help. Even if I were to convince my pack to assist you, we may still be outnumbered by the demon hunters. It could be a dangerous situation."
"I know it won't be easy, but we can't abandon Alec and the others. We have to try. We have to fight for them."
"I want to help you, Cordelia. I truly do. But I need to be realistic. If we charge in without proper information or a plan, we may be walking into a trap or find ourselves at a severe disadvantage."
"I understand the risks, Kenrick. But we can't just stand by and do nothing. I don't care about the odds, Kenrick. Alec risked everything to save me, and the Girls of Sin are like family to me. I can't let them suffer while I sit back and do nothing. We have to find a way to rescue them, no matter what."
"You're right, Cordelia. We can't abandon them. But we need a plan, a way to even the odds. And I think I might have an idea."
"What is it? Please, Kenrick, tell me."
"Cordelia, do you know the truth about your past? About your family and your heritage?"
"No, I've told you before, I don't remember anything about my past. Why do you bring this up now?"
"If my instincts are correct, Cordelia, your past holds the key to gaining the help we need. You could be the rightful heir to the demon realm's throne."
