"Shivangi don't get scared" someone was shouting. I could see bright white light coming in our direction. "Mama papa love you" someone else said. There was a loud crash and everything went black. I heard the alarm go off. I woke up with a jerk and sat on the bed. My breathing was heavy. "It was the same dream again" I said to myself. I checked the clock, it was already 8 o'clock. Shit! I was late again. I quickly got out off bed and rushed in the washroom.
After brushing my teeth and taking a quick shower and wore my comfy, pink robes and went in my closet. I searched for an outfit and found a light pink churidaar suit. After dressing up, a sat on my vanity table, applied moisturizer on my face, dark kaajal in my eyes and some lip gloss on my lips. I don't understand people who wear so many pounds of makeup on their faces. I think, makeup looks good when kept light and subtle. I decided to keep my hair open. I wore one of my oxidized jhumkas and some bangles. Then, I grabbed my handbag, wore my favorite sandals and went out of the house. I did not have any breakfast as I didn't have an appetite. This happened sometimes.

Oops! I forgot my car keys again. I had already came down from the stairs, so had to climb back up. Urgghh!! I quickly opened the door, took the keys and rushed downstairs. Once inside the car, I checked the time, it was 9 o'clock. Thank god, I was on time!
As I drove, my mind raced through the party for which I had been hired to organize. I didn't know who was throwing the party, but knew he was the CEO of Rajvansh Co. It was to celebrate the completion of 50 years of Rajvansh Co, this means it was a big deal! I felt goosebumps, realizing that I had a big responsibility on my hands.
Today, I was going to meet the person who first contacted me to organize the party and also see the venue. From what I knew, Rajvansh Co is set up in Rajasthan. So, it was kind of puzzling me why they were organizing the party here in Mumbai. While I was still in my thoughts, My phone started ringing. I saw who it was. It was Aditya!
Aditya was my childhood friend. He loved me like a little sister and protected me from the world. We met when we were in orphanage. Both of our parents passed away when we were very young. I don't even remember anything about my parents. All I had was a pendent, which I think, my parents gave me. It had my name engraved on it. Leaving all that behind, Aditya is now a doctor who works mostly abroad. I really miss him as he is my only family now.
I picked up his phone and spoke first, " Hey Adi! (that's his nickname) how, are you doing?" He replied, "Great Shivi!" (he always called me that). "You seem quite cheerful today, what happened? Wait. Let me guess, you didn't have night shift and got a good night sleep?" I said. "Well, yaa. But also, I am coming back India." He said, while almost yelling the second part of his sentence. I almost hit the car in front of me. "Really!? that's superb. When are you coming?" I asked him. "Next month, most probably." he said. "Acha, ok. Now, I have to go. Byeee." I said as I had reached my venue. "Ok baba, bye, take care." He said and cut off the call.
I parked my car and went in the venue. I was told that they wanted two parties- first in a resort were there will be many of their business partners and second on the beach adjacent to the resort for them to celebrate with friends and family. The resort they had chosen was really grand, I guess these were the perks of being rich.
I suddenly remembered that I needed a name to tell at the reception. I checked the mail on my phone. The sender told me to take the name ' Rudra Rajvansh'. Wow! this name was fit for a king. I went to the reception and told that I was invited by Rudra Rajvansh. The receptionist was so kind and guided me to a hall. I thanked her and went inside.
There was a man to receive me. I approached him, but before I could say something, he said, "You must be Shivangi." To which I nodded with a smile. He put forward his hand and said, "Vivaan, Vivaan Malohtra. I was the one who contacted you." I too shook his hand. He continued, "I have seen your work and must say that you are an exceptional party planner. As you know that it is the 50th anniversary of the Rajvansh Co and we are hosting two parties for this event. I will be providing you with assistance throughout the party so please fell free to ask any queries." "Thank you Mr. Malohatra. I hope I can provide you with my best services." I said. He said, "Please call me Vivaan and if you want I can show you the venues and we can discuss the further details."
After that, we viewed the venues, discussed all the details and other stuff. Gosh it was tiring!! I was almost sunset when we finished and Vivaan looked at the time and said, "Oh god, I didn't realize that it was almost 6 o'clock. You must be starving Shivangi, even I am famished." I didn't really felt to eat something so said, "I am not really that hungry, you should go ahead and have something. By the way, today's work is done. Tomorrow, I will start the preparations." "Alright if you say so, should I drop you home?" Vivaan offered. "Don't worry, I drove here myself" saying that I bid goodbye and was just going to leave when I remembered something and asked Vivaan, "Hey, could you tell me, who is Rudra Rajvansh." "He is my boss, you see he is the CEO of Rajvansh Co." Vivaan said. I thanked him and left.
On the way, I googled about Rudra Rajvansh but could not find much information about him. Maybe he liked to keep his profile low. I saw a fast food place on the road and decided to get myself something. I got myself a burrito, a mango shake and a coco chip ice cream. I know it is a weird choice for dinner but I still love it. I ate my dinner and drove home. It was such a tiring day! I didn't think twice and changed in my night suit and jumped in my cozy bed. Heaven! I fell asleep almost the very next second.
