I wish to hear your laughter
Unfiltered by worries,
Not muffled by masks
You always tend to wear;
Free from its shackles,
Its break out undetected for a moment,
Sound the alarms,
Your systems failed.
I wish to hear your laughter
Wild and free
And not that stupid sound
You give out for free.
Don't want no window-cleaning-bottle sound
'Cause my view is clear on this:
I wish to hear your laughter!
I'd do anything for it!
Not to inflate my ego,
To prove that I could crack you up,
Break all your barriers
While you hide scared,
But I wish to hear your laughter still..
I hope that I can,
I've never felt so defeated before...
I'm at the gates again,
Dancing with the shadow of a fool
Waiting for a repeat of day one,
Dreaming it'll come soon.
