"ab haa boldiya hai to sir gayab hogae haii!" I frustratingly sighed in front of the bride gulping down galleons of water. "Laiba he'll surely come today but please do something I feel like I'm going to throw up" I stand up and snatch the water bottle from her hand "miss cautious stop overthinking you just have to walk like the superstar you are and let the magic happen"
She nods in agreement although I can bet she's still fabricating useless consequences. "Laiba am I looking good?" she asks And I can't be more amazed at her overthinking skill.
As Tanzeela sits there, adorned in her bridal attire, radiating beauty that captivates everyone around her, I can't help but notice the faint traces of insecurity clouding her eyes. Taking a seat in front of her, I offer words of encouragement.
"Tanzeela, you're the prettiest bride I'm sure Salar jiju won't be able to take his eyes off of you," I assure her, punctuating my statement with a playful wink.
A giggle escapes her lips, a sign of relief that she's starting to relax, if only slightly. I silently thank the powers above for granting her this moment of respite.
Suddenly, the tranquility is interrupted by someone entering the room with an urgent message. "You guys need to come outside. The groom's there, and it's time for the entry."
Tanzeela's nerves resurface, evident in the way her hands tremble slightly. Sensing her anxiety, I try to lighten the mood once more.
"Tanzeela, please don't get nervous. You'll sweat and end up looking like you're in a wrestling match. Please chillax," I implore, hoping to ease her tension.
Assuring her that I'll leave since her husband-to-be is stepping in to take over the duties, I make my way outside, excitement bubbling within me as I anticipate the events of the day.
But there is one thing that's bothering me. After the mehendi function I had expected to see Azlan at nikkah but he wasn't there and even now I'm unable to sense his presence. Not that I desire to see him but I do believe he should at least contact me or thank me as I've said yes to his proposal.
I should focus on enjoying this night after all my best friend is getting married. Suddenly the lights turned dim and the aisle became the center of attraction. The low and romantic music surrounds the air, turning my hopeless romantic mood on.
Tanzeela and Salar draw in all the vigilance present here, the romantic music in the background engulfs the formerly amorous environment. I realized the definition of love in this moment, it's the way Salar looks at her and she doesn't even realize his love. Tears surge in my eyes, I imagine all of the moments we discussed our wedding with each other and now the day is here. She got her prince charming.
After the entry I start brainstorming for the main thing that is money. And for money I'll need the groom's shoes for which I'll require all the attention diverted from the groom.
