"Shut uppp!!" Her giggles echo through our hotel room, settling straight into my heart. Laiba's laughter is infectious, a melody I can never tire of. For the past few hours, she has been conversing with her brother over video chat. It's less of a conversation and more of a playful roast battle, typical sibling banter that fills the room with warmth.

"Laiba, you're so clumsy!" her brother teases through the screen, a smirk on his face.

"I'm not clumsy, you're just jealous because I'm having the time of my life on my honeymoon and you haven't even found someone" she retorts, sticking her tongue out at him.

"Oh please, I bet Azlan has to keep a first aid kit handy just for you," he quips back, making her laugh even harder.

I lean back against the headboard, watching her intently. Her eyes sparkle with mischief as she responds to her brother's teasing, and I can't help but grin. This is one of the many sides of her that I love—the way she can switch from being my loving wife to the teasing sister within seconds.

"Azlan, he’s being so annoying!" she says, turning to me briefly, her eyes rolling in mock exasperation.

I chuckle, enjoying the show. "Sounds like you’re both having fun," I say, giving her an encouraging nod.

"Azlan, how do you even deal with her clumsiness?" her brother asks, directing the question to me.

I grin. "It’s a full-time job, but someone has to do it."

Laiba gasps in faux outrage. "Traitor!"

Her brother laughs. "See, even Azlan agrees!"

She swats at the air in front of her phone. "You two are the worst."

"Come back soon clums, I miss you a lot" Zayan affirms with a broken voice

"Aww my baby brother is missing me"

"Forget that I ever said that"

Laiba laughs and then chats with her parents.

As the call starts winding down, I decide it's time for her next surprise. I've been planning this for weeks, and I can't wait to see her reaction.

Finally, the call ends. Laiba sets her phone aside and stretches, a contented sigh escaping her lips. I seize the moment.

"Mon amour," I say, my voice gentle but filled with excitement. "How about going for a walk?"

She looks at me, surprise flickering in her eyes. "Now? This late at night?"

I nod, a smile playing on my lips. "Trust me, it'll be worth it."

She hesitates for a moment, then nods, curiosity getting the better of her. "Okay, if you say so."

We step out into the cool night air, the city around us quiet and serene. As we walk, Laiba holds onto my arm, her body close to mine. The streets are empty, and the darkness adds a layer of intimacy to our stroll.
