March 20th (WEIGHT at 9.00 am 129 kg)
Went to a specialized center. The doctor was a pretty woman that looked 45 but was 66 years old. We spoke about my desire of losing at least 30 kg in a year's span. It can be done : the price tag was 1200 Euros for six months. No way. If I must lose weigh it has to be aa lot cheaper that that.
Late in the afternoon a phone call from a friend: " Have you aver tried the intermitted fasting mode? I did and it is working for me. I lost 10 Kg. in ten days. All you have to to is resist without eating for 16 hours and then you can eat what you want preferably proteins"
Sounded impossible to me. I'm the type that eats without any rule. Anything that sparks my appetite is great. i am not going to make a list of my favourite foods so that bot you an I will not get hungry, but I give you just a small hint: I was born and I live in Veneto, a region where the food is excellent and so are the wines. The food offer is great, genuine and top quality.
I decided to try though. What have I got to lose ? MY LIFE!. I thought about for twenty seconds and I realized that I will put every effort to achieve my goal to lose 30 kg. And here begins the path.
DAY ONE
March 21st - WEIGHT at 9: 00 am 125.9 KG.
MORNING - AFTERNOON
The 129 of the previous day was calculated with my clothes on so, the starting point will be this one 125.9 . (and I felt like I lost 3 Kg. already). Got up and had my usual cup of coffee. Oh, I forgot to tell that I am diabetic ( 28 ml of insuline every night before I go to bed. Since life is short I decided long time ago that I will use honey in my coffee and I will keep the (good) habit, regardless. Should I die, I want to go away with a smile. I fill up a bottle of mineral water with lemon (one liter) and kept drinking it through the day whenvever I felt hungry.
Note: I foud out that drinking coffee helps killing the craving for food ( espresso, italian coffee with honey)
EVENING
Finally the time to eat has come. It has been 12 hours since I ate last time. It wasn't easy at all but I kept concentrating on my goal knowing that I must fool my brain when it constantly insisted that I should go for those fries or that piece of roasted chicken, that piece of cake, that snack or whatever was available on the fridge. I sat at the table and ate a salad, three eggs ham and cheese, no bread. I felt happy and full. Before bed time I had an apple and a camomilla tea.
DAY TWO
March 22nd : WEIGHT at 9:00 am 125.1 (minus 800 grams)
MORNING - AFTERNOON
Well. Don't laugh (but if you feel like doing it go ahead) 800 grams is not even a chilogram but to me is a start. Given that I ate a lot in the evening, if I will keep the trend I will be reachin my goal in just over thirty days . So, coffee in the morning, with honey and water with me at all the time until the evewning comes.
DAY THREE
March 23rd : WEIGHT at 9:00 am 124.8 ( minus 300 grams)
Not much of progress (300 grams is nothing) . I must try something different. I noticed that when I don't eat lunch I eat a lot more inthe evening. I though to try a different approach and eat lunch, skipping the dinner. So from tommorow I will try that and see if there are any consistent chances to my weight. I need to lose at least half a chilogram a day.
DAY FOUR
March 24th: WEight at 9:00 am 126.0 . Back to where I started. Something need to be adjusted. I eat too much (including sweets) in the evening. This , as I stated yesterday calls for a new set up.
DAY FIVE
March 25th
I did not weighted myself today. I ate lunch (no bread and no wine) Chicken (roasted) coffee at the end (with honey) I will not eat tonight and then I'll try to fast a bit longer and see if it works or not
