Holy shit, I am meeting the Red Bull guys tomorrow! Seeing Le Daniel Ricciardo...if all goes to plan. Cannot quite believe it! Anyway, apologies for the delay, work keeping me nice and busy.
Walking through the neurology department of the hospital awaiting Daniel's results was nothing short of nerve wracking.
The room was the exact same one which Daniel had been given his initial prognosis in just short of three months ago. This time round, he knew that he was okay and that these scans were precautionary to make sure that he wasn't developing any underlying problems. I'd kept my fingers crossed throughout the afternoon after Daniel's simulator run and, hoped nothing more that these tests would be conclusive- Daniel would be well again after some rest.
Five minutes after he went back in to receive the news from the specialist, he reappeared, with now a big grin on his face. Upon seeing me his grin spread, his eyes catching and then glinting in the summer sunlight.
"Well, I'm alright." he said, strolling towards me with one hand loosely hanging in the pocket of his jeans.
"Just alright?" I asked, reading more to his mood than what he was verbally telling me. Bloody cheek.
"T'was just my body not being used to the motions. I'm bloody healthy...Doctor's words, not mine."
He opened his arms and I almost fell onto him, as a wave of relief washed over me and I shut my eyes, silently thanking whoever was listening.
"I know what you're thinking and I'm fucking relieved also. But it's no drama..."
"After the drama..." I said into his shoulder, not quite willing myself to move.
"I think I've killed a bunch of flowers off in the beds but I wasn't left with much choice. At least it wasn't on you."
That was the signal to pull away as he chuckled, leading the way back to the car.

"You can't fall asleep on the sofa, again..." I sighed, idly trailing my fingers down Daniel's neck and letting a little smirk escape me. He hadn't even stayed up for the ten o'clock news and had already had a power nap. Somewhere in the midst of my lap he let out a groan, taking my hand and swiveling round.
"You seriously expect me to sleep when you're doing that?"
"Doing what?"
"You know what, Karin." Dan's eyebrows became more than raised as his lips parted, ready to say something else.
"Nope." I whispered, gently shrugging.
Daniel's grip tightened as he refrained me from moving my arms, "alright, fine then."
His lips quickly came into contact with mine as I was left to tilt my chin up to the Australian and arch my back into the fabric of the sofa. Keeping my hands in place with one of his own, his movements frenzied and his skin on skin contact went from my mouth, to my neck, to my chest.
Soon I was breathing a lot more rapidly and scarcely able to get a decipherable word out.
Daniel pulled my hips up to him, unbuttoning my jeans and taking them down. My breath got caught in my throat, not being able to do anything more than whimper and kiss him passionately and more. I wasn't able to touch him and that was murder.
"This-not-f-fine." I stuttered, raising and moving my legs as I opened my eyes, buckling further at the sight of the man that was doing this to me.
"More than fine, right?" he questioned, pausing to study me.
"I love you." I said, reaching for his mouth. His tongue tangled with mine and he released my wrists. At last I was able to take off his t-shirt, running my hand along down to the waistband of his boxers. A low moan escaped from him as my hands set about discarding the unnecessary clothing. "Have you changed these?"
