Chapter 19 : Echoes of Affection

Book's heart pounded in his chest as he raced after Force, his mind consumed by fear of what might happen if he didn't intervene.

He called out Force's name, his voice raw with desperation, but the sound was lost amidst the roar of the engine.

Force, lost in his own thoughts, remained unaware of Book's frantic pursuit until he caught sight of him in the rearview mirror.

With a jolt of realization, Force slammed on the brakes, bringing the car to a screeching halt.

Breathless and trembling, Book stumbled towards Force, his legs burning with exhaustion from the relentless chase. As he reached Force's side, relief flooded through him, and he collapsed into Force's arms.

Book: "Force... I thought... I thought something terrible was going to happen..."

Force held Book close, his concern evident in his furrowed brow and tight grip.

Force: "What were you thinking, chasing after the car like that? You could've gotten hurt!"

Book: "I couldn't just stand by and do nothing. I had to make sure you were safe."

With a heavy sigh, Force carried Book to his home, his mind racing with worry. He quickly called for a doctor, knowing that Book needed medical attention after such a harrowing ordeal.

Meanwhile, Ohm and Chen arrived, their faces etched with concern as they rushed to Book's side. Force, though initially frustrated by Chen's presence, softened at the sight of his genuine worry for Book.

Force: "Why did you bring Chen?"

Ohm: "He insisted on coming. He's really worried about Book."

As the doctor tended to Book, Force stepped outside to give them privacy. When he returned, he found Chen holding Book's hand, a lone tear slipping down his cheek.

Force: "Chen, why are you crying?"

Chen: "That's because I love him and I don't want him to get hurt!"

The words hung heavy in the air, their implications sinking in as Force grappled with his own emotions.
