Force finally found Chen after a very long search. Chen was at his grandmother's home, which was very, very far from Bangkok. Force drove almost an entire day to meet Chen.
When Force finally arrived at Chen's home and tried to enter, Chen stopped him.
Chen: "Why are you here, Force?"
Force sighed and looked at Chen with genuine concern.
Force: "How have you been, Chen?"
Chen could see the sincerity in Force's eyes, but he was reluctant to respond.
Chen: "Go back to where you came from, Force."
Force frowned, frustration building up inside him.
Force: "I didn't drive for almost ten hours just to be turned away. I need to talk to you."
Chen rolled his eyes, his expression cold.
Chen: "I didn't ask you to drive here."
Force's frown deepened as he tried to keep his temper in check.
Force: "Stop being childish, Chen."
Chen shrugged, seemingly indifferent.
Chen: "Whatever."
He stepped aside to let Force enter. As they walked in, Chen's grandmother saw Force and asked who he was.
Grandmother: "Who is this, Chen?"
Force was about to say they were friends, but Chen cut him off.
Chen: "We're just colleagues, Grandma."
Force smiled, despite the tension. They went to Chen's room. Chen sat on his bed and signaled for Force to sit on the chair. Force complied.
Chen: "Why did you come here, Force?"
Force sighed again, looking at Chen earnestly.
Force: "I wanted to see how you were doing."
Chen's expression hardened.
Chen: "Why does it matter to you? You already got Book now."
Force looked annoyed, his patience wearing thin.
Force: "Why are you dragging Book into this?"
Chen crossed his arms, a bitter smile on his lips.
Chen: "I know you've been trying to be nice to me for Book's sake."
Force's face softened, his frustration giving way to honesty.
Force: "Yes, it was for Book, but that's not the only reason I came. I was worried about you, Chen. You just disappeared and ghosted everyone."
Chen sighed, feeling a mixture of anger and sadness. Force got up from his chair, turning towards the window as he spoke.
Force: "I love Book, more than anything in this world. I'd do anything for him. When I saw you getting close to him, I got jealous and tried to keep you apart. But I never wanted to see you heartbroken. I didn't know you were in love with him too."
When Force turned back to face Chen, he saw a tear running down Chen's cheek....
