Hare squealed with delight and leaped forward, wrapping her arms around Glory. "Congratulations!"

Glory smiled and hugged her back. "Thank you, Hare."

"I can't believe you became queen before me," Tsunami said with mock anger. "And I'm real royalty!"

"Wait." A green dragon stepped forward from the crowd. "The SeaWing has a point. This dragon isn't real royalty, and she's only a dragonet."

"A dragonet who's faced more in her lifetime than you ever have, Coconut," Kinkajou snapped. "She's brave, strong, and willing to do whatever it takes to protect those she cares about. Those are the qualities a queen needs. Who cares if she doesn't carry royal blood? She carries the strength of a real queen, a queen that we need. Blood doesn't matter, it's the qualities that count."

"Kinkajou is right," Magnificent said. "That's why I made the choice I did."

Glory dipped her head. "I promise to do the best I can."

Jambu stepped up to Glory's side. "She's led our group well, meaning she'll lead the tribe well. If any of you have a problem, you can take it up with me."

"And us." Sloth stepped to the front of the group and stood beside her daughter, Blueberry close behind.

Hare smiled proudly. "You can take it up with all of us."

Bromeliad, who was at the front of the crowd, yawned. "She brought back my apprentice, meaning my life can go back to normal. I'm not complaining."

A yellow dragon pushed her way to the front of the crowd. "My sister is a wise dragon. She's made the right decision." Hare assumed that must be Dazzling. "Queen Glory may not carry our blood, but she carries the qualities of a true queen. I trust her, and I know she'll return our missing dragons. Including our aunt."

A few dragons nodded in agreement, some even yelling, "For Splendor!" Hare felt her smile widen.

Kinkajou bounded toward Glory and grabbed her talon, raising it for the tribe to see. "Long live the queen!"

That's when the cheers began. Dragons cried, "Long live the queen!" and "All hail Queen Glory!". Others yelled, "For our tribe!"

Glory smiled and dipped her head. "Thank you, all of you."

"Queen Glory will begin issuing her orders tonight," Magnificent said. "For the rest of the day, until then, she will be meeting with our advisors and council to learn what it means to be a queen in our tribe."

The tribe yowled with agreement, chanting "Queen Glory! Queen Glory!"

"Someone needs to tell Clay and Starflight," Sunny told Hare quietly.

"I'll go," Hare said. "I was actually thinking about heading that way, anyway. I wanted to check on my aunt."

"Is that a good idea?" Sunny asked. "The IceWings may not be welcoming."

"I'll sneak in," Hare insisted. "I just want to know if Blaze is okay."

Sunny nodded. "Alright, I'll tell Glory- er, Queen Glory."

Hare smiled. "Thanks Sunny. I'll see you when I get back."
