It wasn't long before Sirius returned to his usual self. The self he was before he has tried to kill me. Love and Jorney began interacting with us again, save for the times I would say something they were seemingly incapable of responding to.
That night, I sat outside under the tree by the inn. We had decided to return back to town instead of pushing on. Mostly because Love was starving.
I looked around making sure nobody was watching. I needed to find a way to access the text that granted control over this world. Was there a way to do that from this realm? Deciding anything was worth a try, I stretched out my hand and made the scrolling motion I had made so many times in the other realm. I audibly gasped when the text appeared before me.
I quickly tapped on locations and selected the Mountain of Beginnings. It appeared that there was a monster known as The Corrupt Drake sleeping at the top. This was likely the source of the Corruption.
Well then, little dragon, it's time for you to find a new home. You just take a nice vacation over here at Ender's Beach. Nobody traveled there as the temperature was unbearable. Now when Mr. Sirius reaches the mountain, he'll be surprised to find nothing is there! Heh heh heh!
Sunlight peered over my shoulders and I smelled the sweet scent of morning dew. It was just night a moment ago, was it not?
Sirius clearly had powers he wasn't telling me about. Fine. He can keep his powers secret. I'm keeping mine secret after all.
I stood up from where I was sitting and dusted my dark green robe off. I didn't have much time to change things. I would have to come up with my plans during the day and enact them at night during the brief time I had.
"Oh! Cel! You're up late," Love said as I stepped through the door at the inn. He had a bag of groceries and other trinkets spread out across the table. "Look what I picked up this morning!"
"This morning...?" I punched the bridge of my nose, still confused by how quickly time had passed.
"You weren't up so Jorney sent me to handle the errands. You feeling okay? It's not like you to sleep in late." His round cheeks sunk as his mouth parted into a frown.
"I'm fine. I just had a lot to think about. ...If you wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate if you handled the errands for now on." I offered a sad smile. I was still confused how Love hand managed to gather so much in the few seconds it took me to come inside. Somehow, I knew he wouldn't have an explanation.
"F-For now on?!" He panicked. "B-But that means waking up before sunrise! No, I better ask Jorney about this!" He ran up the stairs. "Jorney! We have an emergency!" His screaming was loud enough to wake the whole inn.
For as much as had changed in the past day, I'm glad Love was still the same.
"Wanna tell me what you were doing outside yesterday?" Sirius made me jump. When had he come down the stairs? Was it while I was taking count of what Love had returned with?
"I'll tell you when you tell me how you control day and night." I crossed my arms.
"You think that was my doing?"
"If not yours than who else's? If it was Love, he would make night last twice as long." I scoffed.
"Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't." He shrugged.
"It doesn't matter. I already have my answer." I rolled my eyes. "What's your plan for today? I think we should try to push on to the next town—"
"Wanna go on a date with me?"
"A-A date?!" I gawked. Was he serious? First he tries to kill me now he wants to date me? To think I would have killed for this moment two days ago.
"Think about it! You have the chance to date a prince, hero, and someone who's travelled to multiple worlds! Can anyone top that?" He smirked.
