Waking up the next day, Izuku thought he'd feel some kind of guilt over the fact he burned someone's house down. But even after got dressed and started walking to school and saw the tvs broadcasting what he did, all he really felt was satisfaction. Endeavour was humiliated and no one innocent was hurt. But as the school day dragged on, that satisfaction steadily drained away to be replaced with either numbness or anger at random intervals. If it wasn't for his discipline, he'd probably have beat someone to a pulp by now.

In order to take his mind off of how he was feeling, he did his analysis. He dedicated today to a self analysis. And he realized something. He never put any real thought into his hero costume or name. Every part of his costume was a blatant copy-paste of All Might, and even his name ideas all had 'might' in them somewhere. The shamelessness actually made him cringe. So he spent most of his free time redesigning his costume, only this time he took inspiration from another source. And he made sure it actually had practicality.

Izuku was so busy with his self reflection and improvement that at the end of the day he was the last one to leave the classroom for the first time in a while. Unfortunately, no one knew about Izuku's training and unsavory parties still thought he was an easy target. "We're not done here Deku."

Bakugo grabs Deku's notebook and it's passed around by his cronies. "Taking notes on how to be a hero? That's sad."
"He's delusional."
Izuku scowls and rises from his seat to grab the notebook. "Give it back."
Bakugo smirks down at him. "Alright." He grabs the book from his cronies and explodes it between his hands. "Oops. Guess you don't need it now." He chucks it out the window. "Listen here Deku, I know your nerd ass applied for UA, you're too stupid to quit while you're ahead, so here some advice." He settles a hand on his shoulder and it starts smoking. "Don't apply to UA, or else."
Izuku doesn't feel threatened. He just feels angry. "Get your hand off of me, or I'll break it Katsuki."

Bakugo scowls. "Excuse me?" He turns up the heat on Izuku's shoulder and even grabs his other one while getting right in his face. "I'm a future number one hero, and you're just some quirkless reject! You don't tell me what to do! Do you understand me, you absolutely worthless trash bag!?"
Izuku is silent for a moment before looking Bakugo in the eyes. "You know, for someone who talks such big game, you're just so... beneath me."

Bakugo's pupils shrink to pinpricks. "WHAT DID YOU SAY YOU PIECE OF-" before Bakugo can finish that thought, Izuku lands a precise jab it his throat, silencing him and cutting off his air supply. Bakugo, shocked by the sudden pain and lack of oxygen, let's go of Izuku to grasp at his neck while he gasps, leaving himself vulnerable. Izuku siezes the opportunity and grabs one of his arms and moves behind his bully, twisting the arm enough in the process to dislocate or at the shoulder and slamming the blondes face into Izuku's desk, and to add injury to insult, he slams his heel down on Bakugo's calf hard enough to hear something snap.

He leans down next to Bakugo's ear. "It would be a shame if anyone found out about this. I mean, an aspiring hero being beaten by a quirkless nobody? You'd be laughed out of UA." Before Bakugo can hope to formulate a response, Izuku grabs a nearby chair and slams it over Bakugo, sending him through the desk and leaving him broken, bleeding and unconscious on the floor. He looks at the shaken cronies. "You tell anyone about this, I will find you, and I will break you."
The one with the stretchy fingers speaks first. "S-see what man? I wasn't even here."
"Yeah, I was at McDonald's."
Izuku nods. "Good. Now get out." They're both quick to follow the instruction, tripping over each other in a mad dash for the door.
