"Harry, darling, are you alright?" Draco asked, bringing his arms up to gently wrap around Harry from behind. Harry looked at Draco, half dazed still. His mind was fuzzy from the moments with Draco, where his mind had blanked almost completely from the pleasure.
Harry tilted his head at Draco, turning to face the taller blond boy. "Hm?" Was all the response the blond got from him.
"I asked if you were alright? You look like you just woke up darling."
"Oh.." Harry replied, smiling softly. "I'm sorry, my mind is a little fuzzy right now." Harry leaned into Draco's touch while Draco lightly kissed his neck. He hadn't put on a shirt yet, but neither of them cared. He had on pants at least, and it was hot in the bedroom.
"It's alright darling, was I too hard?" Draco asked. "My mind got fuzzy too just a little, so I wasn't the most attentive to how you felt-" Harry cut Draco's words off by pressing a finger to his petal soft lips.
"Draco, I enjoyed it. And the bath took away any sore spots. I'm fine Darling, really." Harry whispered against Draco's chest, closing his eyes.
The rest of the morning was not really anything more than reading, making out, and cuddling. By lunch, Draco and Harry were back downstairs. At the table, Harry was talking to Lucius about possible new Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers, since Umbridge was fired on the spot after the trial.
"Harry dear," Narcissa started, "What would you like for your next birthday?" The question caught Harry off guard.
"What do you mean? I don't get presents usually." Lucius sighs, and Narcissa gives Harry a sad smile. Draco had stopped chewing his fried rice and looked up at Harry. "What?" Harry asks. "Is it that unusual to not get many presents?"
Lucius clears his throat.
"Please just answer the question Harry. What would you like for your next Birthday? You will be turning sixteen after all, and it is as important to us as it is to muggles." Harry looked down for a moment before quietly speaking.
"I guess I need some new clothes-" Harry started, only to be cut off by Lucius.
"What you want Harry. Not what you should already be given. We are talking something you wouldn't normally ask for or be able to get." Harry thought for a moment at Lucius's words, then he spoke up, his voice soft but hopeful.
"I would like a party if your willing to throw one.." Harry paused for a moment, then added another thought. "It doesn't have to be big, I just would like to know what a real birthday party feels like.. you know, close friends and some family- uhm, the family being you guys."
Everyone sat stunned at his request, and Draco reached over, gently grabbing his hand. Narcissa looked at Lucius, who nodded at her. Bellatrix and Tom looked confused.
"Harry, have you never had a real birthday party?" Draco asked, his eyes sad. Harry felt bad for never telling Draco this, but he was used to it.
"No, not really. The Dursleys hardly gave me even new clothes for my birthday, let alone a party, and the closest thing to a real party I had with the Weasley family was my twelfth birthday." Harry paused, remembering the happy moments. "Molly made me a cake, and I ate so much I got sick.. Fred and George laughed, and Hermione was telling me she told me so. Ronald was so nice back then-"
"Your so useless, I don't know why I was crazy enough to pull those bars off of your window a few months ago." Ronald slapped Harry across the face. The words hurt more than the sting on his cheek.
"Ronald! Don't slap Harry! He made one mistake for Merlin's sake." Hermione hugged Harry as tears fell from his eyes.
Harry fell silent again, starting to remember more moments. His smile turned into a saddened expression, one that carried pain, and tears filled his eyes.
Draco instantly knew what memories were roaming in Harry's mind, but so did Tom.
"Potter, forget him. It's not fair that he affected you this much, and those memories are nothing but a setback for you." It was the the tone Tom used when he spoke that calmed Harry's mind. Both Draco and Tom had access to his mind freely.
Lucius looked at Draco and Harry. He smiled softly.
"A party it will be then, any cake you want specifically?" His tone was soft, and it made Harry calm even more.
Harry wiped his tears away, smiling slightly and looking up at Lucius. He nodded and spoke.
"I really love lemon cake with buttercream frosting. It's the same kind Molly made me when I was twelve, and it's been my favorite since." Lucius nodded at Harry's words.
"Any special people you want to come?" Narcissa asked. "We can make arrangements."
Harry nodded again.
"Yes please.. can Blaize and Pantsy come? And the Weasley twins? I never had a problem with the twins.. and maybe Tom and Bellatrix? And you and Lucius, and definitely Draco.." Harry said. "That's really all I want to come."
Lucius and Narcissa nodded simultaneously and both smiled.
The rest of the meal was nothing but talk about boarding the train the next day. It would be new for Harry to sit with Draco on the way to Hogwarts, especially since things at school would change soon.
This life was okay though. Harry felt loved, and he felt happy for the first time in years. He only wanted to hug Draco's parents and tell them that he would do anything to pay them back for their kindness.
For once, Harry could sleep well knowing he would wake up by Draco and get to spend all of second semester with his boyfriend.
Life was perfect.
