Your darkness does not define you
You are more than your flaws
There's something different inside you
And it is not bearing claws
You're not as terrible as you think
You're sweet and kind and true
So when you feel you're on the brink
Just remember, others feel that way too
You're not alone in your struggles
You have the power to be free
Of all the things that make you crumble
You are more than what you see
What others think doesn't matter
And behold these words hold true
Though your mind might scatter
Your darkness does not define you
