It made sense, especially since she was almost killed a couple of days ago, so obviously, she would be on edge. Your thoughts were cut off when the cafe's front door opened, causing a tiny bell ringing sound.

"Welcome," You said, greeting the customer. Your gaze fell on them only to see a familiar brunette standing in front of your door. Your husband, of course.

You immediately narrowed your eyes at him as he waltzed right in front of you, making his way to the counter with a big smile and twinkling eyes as he stared at you.

".....Aren't you supposed to be in a meeting with the president and everyone else in the agency?" You questioned with a raised eyebrow. Dazai hummed before purring his lips.

"I already know what he's gonna talk about!" Dazai stated, making you feel irritated that he missed an important work meeting.

You sighed at this while shaking your head, "You should still attend," You noted, causing Dazai to look bored just thinking about it.

Sasaki's gaze fell on the both of you chatting, causing her to gain your attention. She stiffened, noticing your gaze, before letting out an amused sigh. "I didn't know you two worked so close together. I bet the both of you must be happy." She smiled with a small laugh.

"I wish I were that close to my last boyfriend," The girl mumbled, looking a bit annoyed at the thought of her last lover, making it obvious they had broken up.

Dazai's eyes seemed to sparkle by this as a sly grin grew on his face. He stood up and looked at you while pointing at the house coffee on the menu, "I'll take one of those, my love!" He exclaimed before turning on his heels

You quickly grasped the back of his collar and tugged him back, forcing him to stay put while you narrowed your eyes at him. "You know you should be working instead of gossiping with customers," You said lowly.

"It's not gossiping!" Dazai explained with an offended gasp. He shook his head, denying your words. "I'm just checking out the client's mental and psychological health," Dazai explained.
