Peter gathered us all in the lodge for a group meeting "it's call the x-challenge race. There'll be kayaking, mountain biking, and the last leg of the race is a run through of the woods with a map and compass only. It's gonna take you all day, and you have to finish each leg of race together as a team, before you get a chance to move on." He explains
"There'll be teams from all over the country there, but they're not all professionals. Lawrence Hastings Prep also had a team." Hannah steps in
"They do it because it looks good on their Harvard applications" Juliette says
"So what makes you think we want to do this, I mean it not planing on going to Harvard or Yale, anytime soon" I say with my usual attitude
"Because, Olivia, it is one of the reasons why you are here, physical activity. We don't have long to train, but I know you guys can do it." Peter says
"Come on guys it'll be great." Kay says trying to have some enthusiasm
We all just boo, and have no motivation to do this at all
"We're gonna need a team captain" he looks to Kat "interested?"
"Yes, definitely" she says excitedly
"So what if we don't want to do it, like what Olivia said, we have no reason to do it." Auggie says agreeing with me
"So what if we don't want to do it" Peter mocks his gangster voice "it's up to you. You're in, you're out. You decide." He says walking around the couch and throwing Auggie a compass
"Two words- no way" Juliette says "I'm so sick and tired of being covered head to toe in mud"
"I second that" I say raising my hand
"Ya know, I hear all the hot jocks lose like 10 pounds during the race" Shelby says, catching Juliette's attention, and making her change her mind into wanting to do it. Yes even though losing those pounds and tempting me, I really don't feel like doing this race
Scott rolls his eyes and gets up from his slouching position on the chair. He try's to walk out but Auggie gets in front of him to block him from leaving.
"Hey man, one in, all in. That's the way it is around here. Don't walk away from the family." Auggie says
"You're not my family" Scott says before harshly shoving Auggie out of the way so he can leave.
"Someone want to go talk to him" Peter says a moment after he leaves "Olivia?"
"Wha- why me?" I say
"Cause you guys are both the newest and relate the most to each other" Peter says
"Can't Juliette go, she's like dating him?" I say not wanting to go, cause what would I even say
Peter just looks at me unimpressed
"Fine, but Juliette can still go, and if that doesn't work than I'll talk to him" I say
"Deal. Go Juliette" Peter says
A few minutes later Juliette comes back without Scott
"So I take it, that didn't work" Peter says
"Nope, he's just mad now" she says and sits back down
"Great you made him angry for me, where is he?" I say rolling my eyes and dragging myself up from the couch
"I think he went to the boys dorm" she says

I walk all the way across the lawn and to the boys dorm room.
