Yes this the first book is a group of them. Honestly you can read them in any order, as they are being written so that it at least makes sense in a standalone, but the correct order gives more context. Also since this is the first book it's not like you have many options right now.
It's mostly going to follow the main story of Kill la Kill, but it will be twisted to fit the overall narrative. Keep in mind that the world around this story is not the same as in Kill la Kill, and will very likely skip out on important material so please watch the show.
