A secret meeting was going on in the meeting room of Mr. Atharva Roy. He sat on the front chair, supporting his chin with his both hands which leaned on the big glass table. On the chair beside him sat Siddharth Raichand, his best friend cum business partner.
They knew each other from high school, went to the same college, and started their small business together. It was a small start, a small step which placed them here on the top. In just one and a half decade they ruled the world of tech. But they didn't stopped there, Like a tree at one place they deepened their roots in tech with new inventions while using their new ideas at other place they also took part in other businesses and formed what today people know by Elixir group of Companies. The big shark of the business world.
Beside Siddharth Raichand sat Itiksha, one of the greatest neuroscientist of the world. On the left side of Atharva Roy sat Kritika Wadiyar the world famous model along with her husband Prince Aditya Wadiyar one of the most influential fashion designer as well as the next heir of Wadiyar Royal Family.
As the parents of the elite four, gathered up at one place something big is expected to happen.
'You said what?' exclaimed Itiksha.
'He called our little Karcy stubborn and erratic .' said Aditya.
'Adding to that he said, Just like her mother.' Siddharth glared at Atharva.
Itiksha grabbed her hair in frustration, 'Why do you always have to ruin things? in place of decreasing you are increasing the distance between you two. Where is she right now?'
'In her room, I tried to talk to her but she isn't ready to listen to me.' He replied in a low voice,
'And why would she? First you forgot Charvi's birthday, then you shouted and scolded her for not coming home and not to forget you rude comment at the end, the show stopper.' Kritika said.
Atharva called his friends to help him but they ended up making him more guilty.
'I know I know..... That's why I have called you guys. help me.'
Itiksha looked at him furiously, 'Why should we? You created this mess, you are supposed to clean this on your own. And If you don't know how to, then it's your fault. Being a father it's your responsibility to take care of her which you always fail to do so and hurt my Karcy in the end.'
Atharva looked down. He was guilty. He wasn't a good father and he knew that. But he wasn't always like this, their relation wasn't like this. He used to be very close to Karcy, even more than her mother. But after that day everything changed. Karcy's sixth birthday. He still remembered everything, his daughter's wan body, his wife Charvi's wails. His heart bleeded in inside at sight of her six year old daughter laying in ventilator. Only he knew how helpless he felt looking at her unconscious figure. That day he vowed to himself, he would do anything for her daughter. He will bring all the worlds happiness for her.
From that day he engrossed himself in work, just for her wife and her daughter, forgetting about the world. But poor did he knew, all they needed was him. He himself created a big wall between him and Karcy. With every passing second, day, month and year the wall thickened. The only string that connected the two was Charvi. It was all fine until Karshika had one of her parents to hold on. The day her mother took last breathe in front of her eyes, the last string broke. She broke from inside that day, loosing both of her parents at an early age of eleven.
'Iti, Just help him for the last time. He loves Karcy more than anything, He is just bad with words, you know right.' whispered Siddharth to Itiksha making her sigh.
'Fine.' She said, 'What do you want me to do?'
Atharva's face lighted up. 'I just want ideas to make her forgive me. I will do anything.. Just tell me what to do.'
Kritika closed her eyes thinking something, 'Well... I think you should get some beautiful and expensive jewellery for her. It would bring the lost charm of her face.'
'Or a beautiful dress, I have just completed one of my finest work, Just one call and it will be here in half an hour. What do you say?' Said Aditya.
Itiksha revolted, 'You want to bribe her to get forgiveness, that's not how it works.'
'That's not bribery.' said Kritika.
'Really?'
'Well it's a.. compensation gift.. a token for apology..' said Kritika scratching her neck.
'Whatever, you may call it, this idea works on Nimi... we bring a lot of gifts for her from every trip and it makes her..... happy.' said Aditya.
'Does it?' said Itiksha looking straight in their eyes.
Kritika and Aditya hesitated for a while. Aditya looked down thinking deep.
Kritika said, 'Surely... It did made her happy.' loudly to Itiksha. Though it seemed more like to herself for a reason.
Itiksha turned up to Siddharth, 'Why don't you give some advice to your friend on the matter, Just want to know how you deal with it.'
'If Mayur ever gets angry on me. I would make his favorite dish. Ava's secret recipe to lure him to the dining table. He wouldn't say no to it. Then we would have some nice talk and settle the deal with some compromises.'
Atharva asked intrigued, 'Compromises like.. I didn't get what you meant.'
'It's nothing. We just write down our demands undergo some negotiations and sign the deal at the end.'
Kritika scoffed, 'Sounds like some business deal.'
Atharva was much more confused now. He wondered, if it was even a good decision to ask his friends for help.
'It was all about us, Now you tell me #Bestparentoftheuniverse What do you do?' asked Kritika.
Itiksha smiled, 'I apologize.'
'Just that.....' amused Aditya.
'Yeah... ' she said, 'There aren't many instances when Krit gets angry on me or something like that. He is the one who handles my anger instead. He is the one calms down my frustrated self. It happened once when I hid the truth from him... He was furious, raged and despaired all because of me. Only I know how much I suffered when he ignored me.. It went like this for three weeks... until I finally had the courage to talk to him and apologized by my heart.'
'And then..' they all asked in unison.
'We cried... Both of us cried for hours.. Both of us were hurt.... and finally we sorted all our differences and never turned back.' Itiksha said with her warmest smile.
