This is it! I'm finally done with college and I'm moving into my own house!
I took one last look around my half-empty dorm room while holding a box filled up with the last of my things.
I'm so excited to finally be leaving!
I went to leave but saw my roommate standing in the doorway with her arms crossed.
"I still can't believe that you're leaving me all by myself!" Chloe complained to me as she walked to her side of the dorm.
"I'm sorry but you will be fine without me," I said as I tried to comfort her. "I promise that you don't need me."
"But I do NEED you," she said as she got closer to me and put her hands on my shoulders. "But It's going to be so different without you here!"
"Really," I asked while raising my eyebrow at her. "How?"
"Well, first who is going to make sure that I go to bed at the right time or make sure I don't overwork myself?" she asked while putting her hands on her hips.
"Set alarms and reminders," I said while looking at her with a smile. "Anything else?"
"Who is going to help me with the stuff that I don't understand in my classes?" she asked while throwing her arms up in the air.
"Get a tutor or get someone from your class to help you," I sighed while looking at her. "Anything that I could help you with you can always get someone else to help you with."
"But I'm going to miss you so much!" she blurted out.
"We can text, call, or even meet up somewhere," I explained while looking at her with a sad smile. "You're acting like I'm dying."
"It feels like you are," she said as she crossed her arms again. "Like, who calls or texts old friends?"
"A lot of people do," I tried explaining to her. "So why can't we do that?"
"Because at some point the calls and texts are going to be less and less frequent!" she said while walking to the door.
"I live less than 30 minutes away," I said making her stop and look at me. "You can visit whenever we are both free or like I said we can meet up at a restaurant or cafe."
