Chapter 20 | hes done it.

After a few moments of silence, Mattheo spoke.
" you can't tell anyone about this. this stays between us! okay?" - He looks into her eyes, trying not to cry agian.
Y/n nods
" of course, and you'll do the same for me? " she whispers.
Mattheo Nods, and sits her on his lap. Then playing with her hair slowly.

Y/n thought that this was it, But she felt like there was something she didn't know.. She slowly turned her body to him.
" Matt..? i-if your father threatened our life, Then why aren't we dead or.. in danger? " she'd gulp.
Mattheo's eyes go sharp, He cleary didn't think this through. He didn't expect any more questions, But this was something he needed to answer.

" I did something in return to keep you safe."
he looked down at the lake infront of them. He cleary didn't want any more words been said about this. But this made Y/n wonder even more..

" wh-what.. did you do? " y/n looked at him, nervously.
Mattheo sighed deeply.
" I joined the death eaters.. "

Everything fell silent. Y/n's heart sank. Sank deep! Mattheo has took his life to be under control by his father to protect y/n. now that.. that is true love, he'd do anything to keep her safe .
" y-you, joined the death eaters??" Y/n raised her voice, getting off his lap. Standing infront of him, Tears in her eyes.
" y/n.. I had no choice.." he replied, standing up infront of her. The sun slowly going down into the dark midnight sky.

" NO. You could have saved yourself! We could have done this together... y-you could die Mattheo? Does that not scare you?!" Y/n begins to cry.
Mattheo gets closer to Y/n and rubs her arm slowly.
She then cried into his chest.. his arm now rubbing her back.

" I want to keep you safe." He whispers softly. Y/ns crying gets out of control. She felt her heart sink deeper.

<Y/ns pov>
He'd done it.
He's joined The Death Eaters, He's finally under his father's control just to keep me safe. I didn't even want to know what lengths his father would go to to keep him as a death eater. This.. isn't what I want! I want to keep him safe, I want us to be okay.

" let's see.." y/n whispers, barley catching her breath.
Mattheo looks deeply into her eyes and says.
" you sure..? " y/n nods and he slowly takes off his jacket and reveals his Mark.
