Daycare attended one shots

After months of waiting for the egg to hatch, it was finally time. Both mother and father sat near the egg as it moved and cracked. The golden egg finally did one more shake before splitting in half.

There laid a small lion fish merman. It was yellow with orange stripes, but they were hard to see at this stage. He had a crown around his head, making him look like a flower almost. He slowly opened his eyes and looked up at his family. Two white eyes looked up at them.

The father looked confused. He looked around his new son's head to find his spikes. The father started to get a bit worried, but the mother held up her hand, signaling him to calm down.

She gently took the newborn into her arms and laid him on his tummy. She moved her finger to a spot on that was in between his neck and shoulder blades and gently pushed down.

And just like that, spikes circled his head and went down his spine. The baby made a little giggle sound at the feeling. The father calmed down.

She let go of the pressure point and laid him in her arms. The baby looked up her with his big around eyes. The mother nuzzled his head.

"Sun.."

The baby was just born and was looking for his mother. It had gray skin covered in star freckles, it's red eyes looked around for its Mom, but he couldn't even see a few feet in front of him. It let out little chirps in the hope she would hear, but no one came.

The baby begins to cry. They were alone and scared.. he heard a noise that sounded like growling. And having nowhere to hide, they go back into the egg.

They shake and cry quietly as they look for whatever made the noise. But they saw nothing.

The baby curled up into a ball and fell asleep crying.

Zipping through the water, swimming as fast as he could, Sun was playing with a rock he found. It was perfectly round and was a perfect ball to play catch with. He was getting a little distracted and not really paying attention to where he was going.

Now he was in a place he had never been before. It was not too dark, but if he went any further, it probably would be pitch black. He stopped mid though and dropped his rock into the darkness by accident. He tried to get it, but the darkness scared him.

He was about to leave when he saw a light it the darkness. He squinted his eyes to maybe see what it was, but it was still too dark. Then he saw his rock get gently thrown out of the darkness, and it landed in his hands.

He looked over the rock before looking back into the darkness. The little white light was still there. He decided to try something.. he gently throws the rock back to the light. And the same thing happened, so he did it again.

And it continued. He threw it at the light, and the light threw it back to him. He decided to back up slowly to see if it would follow, and it did! They continued the back and forth of throwing the rock until Sun started to see a face.

Red eyes with white pupils, gray skin with star shaped freckles, as well as the little light that was on the end of a hat like thing. They continued to throw the rock until the mer was completely in the light where Sun could see him.
