I hear that some people get made fun of because they may have done the big chop. Honestly I have never cut my hair that short, but this is a wonderful thing to do.
Plenty of people in my family have done it, my aunts, cousins, even my stepmom. Its basically just starting over with your hair, just like in a relationship it's like giving your hair a second chance. So, if you ever been made fun of just know you are beautiful and you have better hair than them and when you get to the Afro stage they are going to wish they never did it.
