I was still recovering so I couldn't train for now but I could plan for what's to come. After all it's the turning point where things are getting real. I was so deep in thought that I almost didn't hear my name being called.

"Kyo, what are you doing here?"

Kyojuro walked up to me taking a seat on the engewa next to me.

"I came to see how you were doing. It's been a while since we've spoken, and when we finally met again the trial was happening."

"Yes, it was a bit crazy there. Congratulations on becoming a Hashira, I'm happy for you! You made your dream come true!"

He grinned at me.

"That I did. And much of it is thanks to you."

"Huh? I didn't really do anything though."

"Not true! Your letters gave me encouragement and reassurance. Even when I wasn't able to respond you still sent them. It meant a great deal to me you know. I looked forward to each and everyone you know."

'You would have still become a Hashira without me but... I'm glad you became one because you wanted to and not only to gain the approval of your father.'

"I'm glad I was able to give you encouragement, but in all seriousness, it was you that did all the hard work."

We both stared out at the garden watching the butterflies fly between the flowers.

"Say y/n..."

"hmm?"

"You saw my future and past right?"

"I did."

"When you saw it... did you see me becoming a Hashira?"

"I did."

I could already see the question of,

'is that why you said you believed I would?'

I flicked him in the middle of the four head.

"Oww! y/n what was that for?"

"I can already see doubt crossing your face. Do not miss understand, just because I saw you become a Hashira in the future; does not mean what I said about supporting you in your dream was a lie. I meant it when I said I'd support you in your dream to become a hashira. It's irrelevant whether I saw it in your future. Kyo something to always keep in mind is the future is never certain. You have the ability to choose the path you wish to take. The ability I have is merely to see what a potential outcome would be, not to dictate what is to be. Do you understand?"

"Mmn!"

Kyojuro nodded grinning.

"Good. Now that that's out of the way tell me what you've been up to. I haven't received a letter in so long; I'm eager to hear what's kept my friend so busy."

"Of course, I'll give you a full report!"

He jokes as he goes into telling me about what he's been doing over the years. Telling me stories of demons he's slayed, people he's saved. That he'd taken on a tsuguko only for her to end up a Hashira. (Which he was quite proud of.) I chuckled a bit.

"It seems as though you did your job too well."

He gave a hearty laugh nodding in agreement.

"I suppose I'll just have to find another tsugoku, I wonder if the Kamado boy you're sending my way will be up for it."
