As we were driving to get paint samples I was still wondering who could've poked me.
I don't think it was dad or Morgan but who could it be then?
We arrive at Lowe's and we go straight to the paint section.
I find the prettiest sandy green color that will go great with the rugs and creme white lace furniture that is already in the reception area.
I also found a red orange that will be great in the buffet dining area in the hotel.
We also looked at lamp shades for the reception area. They were champagne with little crystals hanging down. They had a lace pattern with a pale blue ribbon around the top. We got 13 of them for every table (There were 12) and an extra one for the receptionist desk.
Next we looked at lighting.
I saw the cutest chandelier!
It had gold rims with crystals hanging down and two lightbulbs in the middle so they were hidden. We got two of those for the buffet area and reception area.
We actually had time to look at carpets today so we did that. There were reds to greens to purples to neutrals. We got a grayish purple that complimented the couches and lighting fixtures.
We found some white creme tiles for the buffet and the place where we had revolving doors so they wouldn't get stuck on the carpets.
I felt someone burning holes in the back of my head. I turned around really fast and saw someone jerk back behind the shelf. I walked over to see who it was but nobody was there.
I had a terrible feeling in my stomach and wanted to get out of there... Fast!
"Dad? I don't feel so well. Can we go?"
"Okay, honey. Just let me check out. You and Morgan can wait in the truck."
"Thanks dad."
"Be out in 10 minutes."
As we walk I want to tell Morgan what I think is going on but he probably won't believe me.
"Morgan?"
"Yes?"
"I think someone is watching me."
"Huh?"
"Yup. End of story."
"Why?"
"I just feel it. Like last night when I felt a poke in my forehead and nose. And heard the stairs creaking. And then you came to bed with me."
"Okay. We can be on the look out. But we have to stay focused on this motel."
"Okay."
The conversation ended there. We didn't speak a word until dinner. I kept think about who could be watching me. My family. Thinking about it have me chills. I had to get my mind off of it. So I went outside and to the backyard. There is a park nearby with a baseball field so, that's where me and Morgan ended up.
"First to 10?" I said.
"Fine. But you hit first."
"Hahah. Okay!"
He pitched it to me. His blue sapphire eyes glistened in the sunlight. Oh, he's so cute.
I almost forgot what I was doing so I swing the bat uncontrollably. I actually hit it! Out past second. He runs for about 10 seconds and I'm already on third. He starts running back and I'm 3 feet from home plate. I slide into the plate and do does Morgan. I end up scraping my knee. So?
That's how the game goes for about 15 minutes. Then it's game point for me. And it's my turn to bat. I already have two outs and one strike.
SWIIIING.
Strike.
This is my chance.
SWIIIING.
Homerun.
"I win! I win!" I go up to Morgan and shove a big L in his face, "Loser! Loser!"
"Hahahahah! Stop!" He says with a little bit of laughing and sweetness in his voice.
I feel someone else there. I can't help but look around. No one.
I hear something. Like, my name. Someone whispering it. But yelling it. Echoing.
"Morgan? Did you say my name?"
"No."
"Oh."
It stops while we are walking back. About halfway there I hear it again.
Rooooose!
Rooooose!
Rooooose?
Rooooose!
Help me Rooooose!
Roooooooooooooose!
I get closer to Morgan and hold on to his arm. I'm very scared.
How will I get to sleep tonight?
