Shane had noticed Millie trying to sneak away every now and then. He was determined to make her keep to his rules, refusing to let her out of his sight. Holding his hand, Millie waited. She wasn't sure what she was waiting for, she knew better than to ask.

"So that's it, huh?" Shane says.

"Huh?" Millie mumbles, looking up at her father just to see Rick approaching.

"You're just gonna walk off? Just to hell with everybody else?" Shane continues.

"I'm not saying to hell with anybody.. Not you, Shane; Lori, least of all." Rick says, marching up the hill.

"Tell her that." Shane scoffs, causing Rick to turn around, his hands on his hips. Millie didn't understand what he said, or why he said it. But she knew it wasn't nice.

"She knows." Rick sighs, turning back around, continuing up the hill.

Shane doesn't hesitate to follow him up, dragging Millie behind him. "Well, look, I- I don't, okay, Rick? So could you just— Could you throw me a bone here? Could you just tell me why? Why would you risk your life for a douche bag like Merle Dixon?"

"Hey. Choose your words more carefully." Daryl says, as they reached the top of the hill.

"Oh no, i did. Douche bags, what i meant." Shane says. Millie took the opportunity to slip out of her father's grip, walking quietly behind him over to Daryl.

"Merle Dixon." Shane scoffs. "That guy wouldn't give you a glass of water if you were dyin' of thirst"

"What he would or wouldn't do doesn't interest me. I can't let a man die of thirst.. Me." Rick says. "Thirst and exposure. We left him like an animal caught in a trap. That's no way for anything to die, let alone a human being." He continues, walking towards his wife and son.

Millie thought about sitting by Daryl, but she'd have to be real dumb to do that in front of her father. She decided sitting between Carl and Amy would be a better idea.

"So, you and Daryl? That's your big plan?" Lori asks. Rick turns to look at Glenn, knowing he didn't have to say a word for him to understand what he was asking.

"Oh, come on." Glenn groans.

"You know the way. You've been there before.. In and out, no problem. You said so yourself. It's not fair of me to ask, i know that. But i'd feel a lot better with you along. I know she would too."

"That's just great. Now you're gonna risk three men, huh?" Shane says.

"Four." T-dog speaks up.

"My day just gets better and better, don't it?" Daryl scoffs. Millie didn't get why Daryl was upset with T-dog, but not so much Rick. Rick was the one who locked Merle up. T-dog tried to help, but just made a mistake. They're both offering to go save his brother too.

"You see anybody else here stepping up to save your brother's cracker ass?" T-dog says.

"Why you?"

"You wouldn't even begin to understand. You don't speak my language."

"English?" Millie asks Amy, extremely confused. Amy just giggles, rolling her eyes. "Don't worry" she mumbles, Maybe she'll ask Dale later.

"That's four." Dale says.

"It's not just four. You're putting every single one of us at risk. Just know that, Rick. C'mon, you saw that walker. It was here. It was in camp. They're moving out of the cities, they come back, we need every able body we got. We need 'em here. We need 'em to protect camp." Shane argues. Millie wanted to tell her father off, just tell him to shut up and let Rick do what he wants. Hell, she wanted to tell him to let her do what she wants.
