"Unexpected events" (Professor AU)

A/N - This chapter contains mentions about narcolepsy which is sleep disorder that makes people very drowsy during the day. People with narcolepsy find it hard to stay awake for long periods of time. They fall asleep suddenly. This can cause serious problems in their daily routine.

It's been almost a year now after William started helping his Professor out, and even tho it was hard for William to admit, he really enjoyed Vincent's daily company. The difference between how he was in private and in classroom was huge, so he kind of liked that special treatment he got of knowing his Professor from less formal way. He was fun, and nice. As time passed William felt more and more bad for shittalking his Professor to his friends.

As the more they engaged, the more he found out about Vincent, he slowly learned his flaws, his professions, his small routines, and that he even has a cat? He couldn't stop the admiration that slowly built-in inside. As the time passed he even started paying more attention to his appearance. Black, slightly curly hair, thin lips, sharp jawline, soft lips, unique color of his eyes. Did he mention those soft thin lips?

William shook his head gently.

No, that's wrong, he shouldn't think or feel about his Professor that way... Right?

"Earth to Liam," Harriet snapped her fingers right in front of his face. "What's up with you? You seem so off, what's on your mind, mate?" She chuckled lowly.

"Nothing, just narcolepsy kicking in, I feel tired..."

"Maybe you should go back to dorm and lay down, I will tell Professor Holmes that you felt sick, beside you help him a lot recently, I'm sure he won't mind." Blonde haired boy said while smiling.

"No no, I'll be fine." William just waved his hand at his friends' words and took a sip of water he was holding in his hand.

Class was incredibly boring that day, and it seemed like time was going in slow motion. He tried so hard to stay awake, though his head was spinning and his eyes felt heavy. His breaths got calmer and slower. William rested his head on his hand and then let tiredness take over him.
He opened his eyes around 10 minutes later, and it seems like no one noticed, not even his professor. He checked the time once, then again, and again. Why is the time going so slow? Then finally, 2 pm - class dismissed.

William let out a deep sigh as he packed his stuff.

"William? Can I talk to you?" Vincent called out before he managed to leave the class. He walked over to his Professors desk

"Is everything okay?" Brown-haired man asked curiously.

"Do you perhaps have that book that I borrowed you, with you today? I will need it." Vincent said as he also packed his stuff.

"No, sorry, I can bring it for tomorrow though?"

"I need it today, can you perhaps drop it off at my place?" Black-haired said as he got ready to leave the class.

"Sure. No problem."

"Great, I will send you the address." And with that William watched his lecturer leave the class.

William felt his heart racing.

"Okay, okay calm down. What the fuck is wrong with me."

He took few deep breaths as he left the class.

William walked into the cafeteria, looking for his friends, soon he saw Harriet who was waving her hand to help her friend find them. He approached them quickly and took a sit next to Henry, who was currently on his phone, messaging someone, probably his girlfriend. William met her only few times since she is studying abroad for now.
