Chapter 8

(I'm sorry for this chapter if it isn't like in the anime/manga I don't remember this scene that much 😭👍)

For a while, Rimuru was 'teaching' a little band of children that a friend of his had to take care of, since she died he decided to 'teach' them for a little while. Which left the village without him.

But he trusted the fact that his peoples would be strong enough if something happen. He trusted that everything would be fine, oh boy was he wrong.

He was coming back from fighting an 'hero' names Hinata, Shizu's master, and was trying to go back to his village ad quickly as possible. After hearing what she said, they knew something bad was happening here.

But when he arrived it didn't go as planned. There was a barrier all around the city, he was still able to enter tho, when he enter he saw his village completely destroy.

Rimuru couldn't help but see red. He look at Benimaru that was next to him and ask him if there was anyone that was injured or even worse dead, Benimaru nodded looking at the ground. Rimuru looked at the ground too, trying to hide his rage inside of him.

"Show them to me." He said, Benimaru could hear the rage in his tone and obey directly.

When they arrived they looked at the people on the floor, all the dead body here. Laying on the floor covering in a white sheet.

Rimuru was more angrier then ever now, he though it would be fine if he leaved. He didn't though someone would attack his village...

The more he looks at the dead body the more angry he was becoming. Everyone around him could feel his anger from where they were and didn't dare to move nor say anything that could make him angrier. 

He was about to leave when he felt two arms wrap around his waist, he looks behind him and saw that it was Harley.

"Rimuru please calm down...don't let your wrath get the best of you...please..." She said, hugging him tighter and tighter. Rimuru wasn't listening much and tried to get away from her grip but she was holding him too tightly. "I won't let you go...I'm not letting you do something you may regret..." She mumble, still holding him. "I won't let go until you calm down..." She murmure once more, determined to not let him do something he'll regret.

"Let me go." He orders. She shake her head and continue to hold him tightly against her.

"No, I won't let you go...I'm not letting you go..." She murmure once more. "Calm down first..I know your mad but please...I know it hurts, I know you wished that you would have been here...I know how that feel...but in the end, it's not your fault, we can't predict the future...life sucks...but you have to live with it...it'll be alright..." She knew it wasn't the best thing to say right now but she didn't know how to comfort him.

She just didn't wanted him to do something he was gonna regret, he didn't wanted him to feel bad for it, he didn't wanted him to blame himself. She went through the same thing and didn't wanted Rimuru to go through the same thing as her. She wasn't gonna let him endure this pain. 

"It's going to be alright...okay...? Maybe we can do something about it..? Maybe we can bring them back alright...?" She continued, trying to reassure him. "We can still try..." 

"It is indeed, probably possible." They heard a voice said, they turn around and saw the three adventurers, Kabal, Gido and Ellen (sorry if it's not the right names those are the french names). 

"How tho...?" Rimuru asked, he was still a little angry but he had calm down a little bit. The girl then began to explain how coould they bring them back to life by telling them a little story. Rimuru and Harley listened not wanting to interfere.

Rimuru sighed after hearing the story, did he really needed to become a demon lord to resurrect his people ? That was going to be harder then he though...

Harley looked a little panicked, she knew that it means he will have to kill people and that's what she was trying to avoid at all cost. Now it was going to be very difficult. She didn't wanted it, she wanted to ask if there was another way but deep down she knew there wasn't another way. She sigh, accepting it silently. If it was the only way then so be it.

Arguring won't serve at anything and she knew it would just enrage him more then anything. So she just kept quiet, not wanting to start an argument nor say something wrong. 

"So I need to become a demon lord to save them ?" Rimuru asks Ellen, she nodded. He sigh and spoke up once more. "If that's the only way...I want everyone to be ready !" He said. Everyone nodded. This was going to be a long day and they all knew it...
