School wasn't so bad anymore for Rowan anymore, she enjoyed school even more because now she got to be with her friend Atsura. He has been with her ever since the dilemma she was in. He always watched her play as if he was her bodyguard even though she wanted him to play with her but he refused so she never really pressured him but she always asked him when they go to recess.Atsura followed behind Rowan as they leave the back door to the school that led to the playground. "I know I ask this everyday and I know you're gonna say no but do you want to play with me—"
"Yes." Atsura answered.
Rowan froze in place, she turned around and Atsura's eyes went wide. She had her hair in a bun, she had these cute little curl strands on the side of her face and she wore this blue dress. She looked very pretty today and he wanted to tell her but he couldn't do it even if he wanted to. "For real? You're actually going to play with me?" Rowan questioned and Atsura let out a small sigh, he crossed his arms and he furrowed his eyes. "Yes and stop pestering me or I'm not going to play at all," Atsura seethed and Rowan squealed as she grabs his hand, she dragged him to the playground.
"You can be Spike and I can be Faye... we can capture criminals and get a lot of money!" Rowan exclaimed.
Atsura shakes his head and he yanks his hand away by instinct, Rowan smile faltered and she bit her lip. She knew at times she would go overboard, grab him and hug him but he didn't like when she did and she often beat herself up about it because she loved hugging and holding hands with people she cared for.
"Sorry," She mumbled.
Atsura shrugged and he watched her scoot away from him, and he rolled his eyes a little as he stepped closer to her, "Aren't you a bit too old to be playing make believe?" Atsura questioned and Rowan eyebrows lifted at his question.
Rowan was eight and she didn't think she wasn't too old at all and besides Micheal says that the more imaginative the mind, the more fun and creative the person is. "No, you're never too old to play make believe Atsura. You can be whoever you want to be," Rowan remarked and Atsura shrugged as he uncrossed his arms. "So come on Spike we have people to chase down," Rowan marveled and Atsura let out a small groan as she dragged him up the hill that was near the playground.
They ran around well mostly Rowan ran around while Atsura followed behind her the entire time. He just didn't understand the make believe games at all and he didn't see these crimals also chasing air had him even more puzzled.
Rowan sat down in the grass and she sighed as she lay back in the flowers, Atsura sat next to her and Rowan turned to her side and a frown sat on his face as per usual.. "Why are you always so mad all the time? Can you smile for once?" Rowan questioned and Atsura looked at her with his usual look of annoyance. "I don't know," Atsura answered and Rowan scooted a little closer to him, as she giggled and Atsura glared at her. "You tickle me and I'll punch you," Atsura huffed and the little girl chuckled, "No you wont," She replied as her fingers grazed at his side, Atsura jolted and he struggled to push her hands away from him. He bursted into fits of laughter, as he rolled to his side.
"Aw your laugh is so cute," Rowan laughed and she pulled her hands away from him.
Atsura raised up, he raked the grass of him and like a switch Atsura went back to his cold state. "I told you not to tickle me you idiot, god why do you do the things you do?" Atsura hissed and Rowan chuckled as she covered her mouth. "You were smiling and laughing, I brought you up here because I knew you would be embarrassed about it but see it's just us." Rowan motioned around then and Atsura looked around, not a single kid in sight.
Rowan laid next to him and she looked over at him, "When we get big, want to be my boyfriend?" Rowan asked him and Atsura looked over at Rowan, he looked away because it was taking everything for him to blush. His cheeks were so hot, the thought of Rowan being with him was something that seemed like a dream, something magical but he just feels like it would be a nightmare for her.
