"We aren't whispering about anything Rob" miles replied "I'm starting to think Kenny is on to something" Rob mumbled side eyeing us
"they were probably discussing whos house they're going to make out in after this" Kenny joked making eye contact with me "1.me and cal are NOT dating 2.I am straight 3. There is something very wrong with you guys!" miles argued
"sometimes I think you guys have bet like money on us or-" he added before he stopped, looking at everyone else "I swear if you guys bet money-" "I didn't, don't know about them though" June cuts in drinking a ice tea "where did you get that?" I ask not focusing on the other conversation going on
"oh I always have one or two on me" she says, sometimes I think we should put June in a room with people and just let her share her wisdom and just confuse a whole board of directors
"if I find out you guys bet money on this I will grab that money and shove it up your asses" miles warned watching as Kenny dawn and Rob looked at each other "seems fair" Rob agreed putting a chip in his mouth
"what even makes you think me and cal are dating!?" Miles questioned "I could nam-" Kenny started "i recommend you don't name them if you want to keep all of limbs" dawn cut her off placing her hand on Kennys shoulder.
I love my friends I do but sometimes I really just don't give an actual shit about what they're saying "what the fu-" miles starts saying before I tune him out grabbing his hand and a pen from his bag
"if you draw a wang you're dead" He confirmed as I started to draw on his hand. I don't know why our friends think we are dating....I mean I could see why but I just don't know why they are so insistent about It, it can get a bit annoying sometimes.... gross
I just felt every hair on my body stand up or like a wave of darkness just covered the town "cal, are you okay?" June asked see me randomly stop "yea I'm fine" i only ever feel like this whe-...when aunt Dana and uncle tom are in town...
"my aunt and uncle are in town." I spat out the group turning their attention to me "how-... how do you know that!?" Kenny questioned "the world got darker, sadder, the smell of cigarettes in the air" i sounded like a shit poet.
They soon get back to their conversations and I get back to drawing on Miles's hands until I was happy with how they turned out "do you want to get going?" Miles muttered to me "yeah" I muttered back sitting upright
"um, me and cal are going to get going..." miles said as we both got up "why?" Dawn asked "well it looks like it's about to rain and we don't want to walk in the rain" I let out a little nervous laugh
"fair point " Rob agreed as we started to walk away saying our goodbyes. "You thinking what I am?" "Oh yeah" Kenny and Rob said as we walked farther away
"so why did you want to leave?" I asked "I was just ready to leave" he shrugged, it wasn't long before we got back to my apartment "do you want to come in?" "You know my answer" he responded as I opened the door, just to get greeted with aunt Dana's presence
"CALLEN!" She exclaimed "oh darling I haven't seen you in so long!" She said pulling me into a huge uncomfortable hug "oh, who is this?" She grinned turning her head to miles "miles Richards im cals friend" "well it's lovely to meet you" aunt Dana is a very bubbly person, she is also very loud
"come on boys, come sit down" she called out sitting back on the couch "what's this?" I asked sitting down looking at the papers on the table "dad's old stories" Kathy replied
"Oh Callen do you remember all the stories your father would write?" Aunt Diana asked with a stupid smile on her face
"no,the only thing I really remember about dad is watching him dangle from the ceiling." I said watching her smile fade from bringing up my father's suicide "ask Zack or Kathy for things about mum and dad they were old enough to remember." I reminded
"oh yes, so how did you to meet?" She asked with her stupid smile coming back "cal and his boyfriend met at the word wall" Zack butted in "Oh my fuck" I groaned putting my hands on his face "boyfriend?"
"No, Zack just calls me that because he is a ass " miles responded as I glared at Zack "lying to a woman you just met, I never thought you would be that person miles" Zack dramatically said
"I didn't know you were....erm...gay" Dana stuttered a bit uncomfortable "talk later auntie" I grabbed Miles's hand and head to my room "that got a tad bit uncomfortable" I admitted after I closed the door
"yep" he agreed plopping down on my bed, I came out like 4 years ago. my friends and Kathy were supportive of me, Zack is Zack
and sally does not give a shit the kids in town were probably the worst i got made fun of a lot and bullied a tiny bit kids would tell me shitty things right to my face. But after a while it stopped, of course I still get picked at here and there but it's not as bad anymore
"cal?" Miles called out "you okay you kinda just zoned out there?" "Oh yeah, sorry" I apologized flopping down next to him on my bed "Kathryn? Don't you think Callen and erm Miles should have the door open?" Auntie asked "no, it's fine they aren't actually dating.....to my knowledge" Kathy replied
"how much money do you think the group has bet on us" miles asked taking me away from my ease dropping "most likely 20 bucks" "maybe 40" knowing my friends the bet was probably made between Rob and dawn Kenny is the keeper
