Unexpected Connections A Short Story

You walked over to your fridge opened it and grabbed a couple of grapes out of a container, Lucy following you everywhere you walked. You packed up your purse slipped on your Mary Janes and walked out of the door after kissing Lucy.

She walked into the coffee shop and she spotted Chris sitting at the table he sat at when they had first met. He waved her over with a big smile on his face, so big that his eyes smiled with him. She walked over to the table and Chis stood up to hug the girl, wrapping his arms around her while she wrapped hers around his torso. She took in his scent and laid her head against his chest not wanting to let go, but eventually, she did, and took a seat in front of him taking off her purse and putting it on the back of the chair.

"Hi Jane" he spoke, a crooked smile on his face. He couldn't help but notice how gorgeous the girl looked and how she glowed in the direct sunlight. Her brown curls hung around her face and her pink off-the-shoulder top showed off her soft sexy shoulders, she had her legs crossed under her black miniskirt and Chris thought about how hot their sex would be, how he wanted to lift the skirt and fuck her from behind against a wall.

"Hi, Jane! how are you? Can I get you your usual?" Diane approached the table with her smile beaming.

"Um yes please Diane," Jane said playing with her necklace.

"By the way, you look gorgeous Jane!" Diane said touching Jane's shoulder

"Oh my gosh thanks so much," Jane said showing her teeth as she smiled 

"So Mr Evans, What's new?" The girl said putting her hands down on the table on top of each other

"Yeah um, I just want to tell you about how sorry I am for blowing you off and stuff, I'm not like that there's just a lot going on in my life right now," Chris said looking Jane in her eyes, admiring how beautiful she was before him.

"No, it's fine Chris, everyone has their shit you know? Do you mind sharing with me what's going on?"

"My um- my ex-girlfriend is pregnant... and it's mine."

Her mouth widened and her eyebrows rose, she was in shock. At a loss for words.

"Wh-what? Is she- I mean is she sure it's yours? The girl's eyebrows scrunched up showing her confusion. Inside she felt angry and annoyed, she felt as though she had never had a man or woman to herself because they always had exes that they weren't finished with and she didn't want that to be Chris because she genuinely liked him.

"Yeah, I've been kind of dealing with that. I'm sorry Jane, I mean I do want to be there for her and my kid you know? I also wanna keep seeing you. I enjoyed our night together and you're really all I've been thinking about these past 3 days. Chris spoke honestly.

Diane approached the table with Jane's order and placed down an Iced Caramel Latte and a cream cheese Danish.

"Thanks, Diane" Jane flashed her a smile and looked at her coffee. She sat silently trying to think. Chris could tell that she wasn't okay and didn't want to say anything until she did. She unwrapped her straw and put it in her drink taking a sip and then taking a bite of her Danish, a satisfactory moan escaping from her mouth causing Chris to adjust in his seat.

"We should go out tonight Chris." She said taking another sip of her coffee, "but this time I choose where we go."

"Okay, that works for me" Chris smiled and took a sip of his coffee

Nighttime fell upon Seattle and after I saw Chris, for the rest of the day I stayed home, I went out to buy a few groceries and had to deal with creepy stares from creepy old men, I bathed Lucy, talked to my family, and sort of went crazy about the news that Chris told me. I couldn't believe he was going to be a father but something about the whole situation didn't sit right with me. I mean his ex did cheat on him, so why didn't she just stay where she was, plus Chris is a guy with lots of money so that'd explain one reason she'd want to come back to him... his dick is also really big, and he's great at what he does in the bedroom.
